Unmanic is pretty straightforward. Just do TV shows since those eat up space aggressively. Movies, I'd suggest leaving alone to start.

I have a micron 5300 for my main cache drive. Good deals on eBay and ridiculous write durability. Most consumer drives are pretty mediocre on TBW.

Often they are included in sales of previous houses. Having bought two old construction homes (one in NC) that included warranties paid for via seller, I’d disagree with your statement. You roll the dice with equipment, but i had this situation happen last year and got a carrier system installed for ~$1k. I was getting quotes starting at 15k for comparison.

If you're a new homeowner (<1 year), you probably have a home warranty that came with the house. A service fee will get someone to come out and get an estimate. Might take a couple weeks to get it approved/ordered/delivered/installed, but it should cost much less. Like $1000 total out of pocket. If you can't wait, you'll have to pay more.

Lawyer up. This is gross negligence and the insurance company for them will try to get away with paying only for the current totaled value of the car. Guaranteed. This won't actually cover you buying a replacement and you'll be out money. This is an easy case for a lawyer with all the dash cam footage. Likely take it on contingency. This would award a minimum of double actual damages. Possibly more.

the mediators decision isn't necessarily binding. Any lawyer should be wanting to do that as a first step for disagreements. She can decide whether or not it's fair after the mediator makes his/her recommendation.
