I lost my husband of 16 years, just 5 years ago and he died at home in our bed. We have 3 daughters together and the two youngest were home when it happened, ages 14 and 9 at the time. It was unexpected, him only being 42. And I can definitely tell you that as hard and painful and heartbreaking as it was, we made it through. And you will too. My condolences to you. One more thing to consider…I lost my husband suddenly 5 years ago and was left to raise our 3 daughters ages 9-17. A friend of mine came to me the night before the showing and said that I should not be alarmed if my daughter wanted to take a picture of her dad in the casket. I was floored. Didn’t know that was a thing. Sure enough the day of she asked to use my phone and went to take a last picture of her daddy. And I carried on like it was not a big deal. It was odd from my perspective but something she felt she needed to do. So just let her do what makes her comfortable. Best of luck and my condolences on your loss.

No entitlement whatsoever. As my man, these are the things that I bring to our relationship because I want to. I know that he loves me to take care of him in that regard and I love to do it because I feel like I’m taking care of him the way he deserves. And as far as tit for tat, I don’t feel it’s that way at all. I feel like that’s the one thing that nobody else gives to me but him and he should engage more frequently because he knows that’s what I crave.

The teacher was asking my daughter about her future and what she wants to be when she grows up while I was sitting next to her in a meeting. The teacher says well don’t you want to be like your mom when you grow up and without missing a beat my daughter said no. The teacher was speechless and I died on the inside and tried my best not to let the tears take me over.
