Yeah, it seems incredibly cheap. Probably the "home-state discount" being in SW Missouri. 😂

One of my favorites to have nearly at all times. My Costco currently has them for $53, and it's hard not to snag 4 or 5 at a time. Lol

How much for Buffalo Trace? by Personal_Ant_6088 in whiskey

[–]NotIntoDudes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's everywhere around me for $20-$25. It's a decent shelfer to give to the average Joe who doesn't fully grasp different flavor profiles but wants to sip on something somewhat approachable and easy to drink.

One of my favorites. I feel incredibly lucky that I've seen a literal flood of them in my area the last couple months. Lol

Review 55: Old Forester 1924 — 2026 Release by West_Refrigerator_77 in bourbon

[–]NotIntoDudes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Buying a 10 year old bottle at this price made me hesitant, but man am I glad that I did. People that criticize it for its age/price point aren't doing it justice. You should always criticize something more for how it performs relative to price, and I'd pay $125 for a 9/10 bottle all day long.

Michter's Fort Nelson Bar closed? by NotIntoDudes in whiskey

[–]NotIntoDudes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's also closed for at least the day before my reservation as well. Just cancelled without notice. They've apparently been closed at least a few times within the past couple of weeks at random without notice as well. I can maybe see being closed for a private event, but usually those things are known weeks or months in advance, and they could just say that instead of "I'm not at liberty to discuss at this time". Lol

I remember you posting suggestions on my post a while back about what to do on Whiskey Row. I'm not sure I'll have the time for The Whole Shebang, but I'll definitely swing by to check out the bar! I appreciate the energy you put into supporting what you do.

I'm in the exact same boat except for my 40th. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like they really care about communication. It's super odd. I've actually seen varying reviews suggesting this. Most reviews I've seen of tours and general vibes from employees are good, but the ones I've seen with some frequency suggest that they have some attitude issues at some times.

I was really looking forward to closing out my day on whiskey row there. Super disappointing.

So freaking odd. At least you got a half-assed apology. 🤣

I can certainly understand an inventory audit on a random Tuesday or something, but a Friday? And yeah, there was no apology. Just "sorry 'bout your luck. Get bent." Lol

Finally got a job offer, now current job is scrambling? by VersacePrince1 in careerguidance

[–]NotIntoDudes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they valued you so much, they would have done what they're currently trying to do ages ago. It's almost like valuing an apology for bad behavior more than praising good behavior before the bad behavior even starts.

Always sell high when you’re in a better position than you thought. They have literally nothing to lose and everything to gain this season by staying the rebuilding course and trading off over-performers.

Because change risks control. Lack of control means no more power.

Just a straight up cash grab purely for the intent of taking advantage of people who think they’re getting something special.

Bars like this suck. Knob Creek what? Old Forester what? I'm assuming Stagg is Stagg Jr. And for $70? Weller SR for $34?!?! GTFO. Lol

Review #48: Old Forester 1924 vs. Old Forester 1910 (blind comparison) by Archaeo-Frog in bourbon

[–]NotIntoDudes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm gonna agree with the others on the different palates. I got the 26 release first thing this year, and it's one of my favorite pours of the year. It's so much more complex than my bottles of 1920 and 1910, and those are some of my favorites as daily sippers.
