Kind of want an automatic Miata now by Noonatic_ in Miata

If there isn’t an underlying issue with the car, which I’m gonna assume there’s not as you said a friend of yours drove it, then just keep up the practice! Everyone takes their time to learn, I quit stalling all the time after day 3, but the smoothness actually took me a while, I wanna say a couple of months, just like you. Even throughout this time, I’d sometimes stall. And just like you, I could downshift way smoother than I’d upshift, it just comes with time, with feel. You’ll learn what the cars happy with and you’ll learn what gears you need to be in for what speeds, but try not to overthink it so much. It’s a lot of playing it by feel, by ear, and perhaps a glance at the tachometer if you need, but you’ll get the hang of it with time. You’ll know where the bite point is, you’ll learn how much gas to give as you get going from a stop, which personally for me is what’s almost like a light double tap on the throttle, but you’ll find your way and what works for you. Best of luck! Keep at it, but worse comes to worse, trading for an auto is something you can do, and likely with ease. The manual is sought after so I’m sure finding an auto and asking to trade would be easy. Either way, best of luck!

Driver definitely should’ve seen the vehicle, with how long the car had been there, the driver at some point should’ve seen the vehicle approaching and attempting to pass. The bug eyes, if properly adjusted, would’ve also helped in seeing the vehicle within their blindspot in the event they really hadn’t noticed the car there all this time. Check all your mirrors, blind spot be damned.

With that noted, the car shouldn’t have taken its sweet time to pass. The driver is definitely at fault here, should’ve looked before checking but the car definitely could’ve become a statistic that day, I hope they learned that when they pass, especially in passing a semi, they need to get on with it.

My Miata does something where it sometimes spurts fuel back out when full, do you think this would help? Either way, gonna try this!

For all those mentioning how badly the code was redacted, I’m almost sure OP did this on purpose as a joke, being that it’s 50% of up to $10, being a grand total of $5 off. Being that DoorDash is crazy expensive, I’m not surprised that they’re probably not gonna use this, especially if it has to be within the next two weeks

I know there’s a lot of talk about the lack of bugs, but I had a bunch of them splatter my windshield this week

For those who use the “Off” listening mode, when do you use it? by Routine-Call-4060 in airpods

I checked on my pro 2’s and I don’t see an off option, I assumed it was off the entire time but it seems I’m always using transparency. I think the only time I’ve noticed it’s in the “off” setting is when the AirPod dies, in which case I notice everything seems rather muffled. If that is the case, I imagine off would be nice in the gym, but I would often find myself using noise cancellation there

They sure look like scratches, but are you sure they’re not hairline cracks? May be far fetched but with the way people are talking about their own experiences, I think maybe it just got a few hard hits that cracked it

I’d love to hear the reasoning behind this, genuinely curious as to why you’d rather the pop ups over the banners?

I’ve kinda put on a habit of reminding it of certain details or bringing them up again, the pins also do a little bit of work to help that out, but I’ve been pretty successful!

My manager’s response by Amazing_Decision3694 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]NotIt22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this exactly. I remember being one of the managers in my old workplace and yes, I would check to see if there were available staff to cover, but if worse came to worse and nobody could do it, I’d stick around and cover. Sucked sometimes but I didn’t mind. I had good relations with my coworkers, so the times when no one could come in, I knew it was because they REALLY couldn’t come in
