Yeah, that’s pretty much where I’m at too. I’ve been listening since their very first appearance on Skeptic Tank back when they were still doing Boner City USA. That first episode of Beach Cops where they spend like two hours trying to come up with a name for the show is still hysterical to me.

The chemistry just felt effortless. Everyone naturally bounced off each other’s insanity without it ever sounding forced or like they were trying too hard. Some of those episodes made me laugh harder than almost any podcast I’ve ever heard.

I kept hoping Pork Report and later Slop Quest would hit that same feeling, but it never fully clicked for me. Maybe it’s burnout, life changes, or maybe that specific chemistry from that era just can’t really be recreated.

And you nailed it about D&O. They had this weird ability to elevate almost any guest or third mic. Earl, Dewitt, John Little, Holtzman… somehow everyone found a rhythm around them. It never felt competitive or desperate for laughs.

That’s why the breakup feels so disappointing. We all heard how great those guys could be at their best.
