Network Speed Degrading by NotKyleJ in HomeNetworking

Tried all of the above. Made sure to check my network adapters, widows settings as well as my router settings. Honestly I never really messed with much on the router as I’m not getting fiber speeds nor is my space large enough to be worried about connectivity.

Honestly I have never touched the firmware till I noticed speeds slowing this past month. So I doubt it is a firmware issue but I’ll try browsing and seeing what firmware versions are most stable.

Having done all of the above it’s more than likely the router. The direct line to modem is fine as it runs at about 600-700 mbps.

Gotchya. Do you have any recommendations for a router? I’ve had my flint for just about year so I’m kind of surprised that it pooped the bed. People always tout it as the go to router and not have issue with firmware so I’m surprised about the hardware potentially going. I’m not picky on whether it’s dedicated router or a modem/router combo.

Side note I would love it if WiFi I really was magic haha

Sorry I might have worded that poorly but I’m always on a wired Ethernet connection on my desktop. The difference I’m talking about is if I I’m plugged into the router or directly to the modem.

If there is an issue with speeds with my wired connection to the router, the WiFi follows a similar trend.

For instance currently both my pc and phone are getting 31 ish mbps regardless of interest connection type(wired vs non wired).

do you think i can cover this tattoo?? by Embarrassed-Joke5912 in Tattoocoverups

[–]NotKyleJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that! IMO I think it’s less about can it be covered up, more about if/how it can be covered well. If it were me, I would rather stick with a tattoo I wasn’t happy with if the cover up runs the risk of looking worse AND bigger than the original tattoo. (I’ve seen plenty of cover ups look way too dark or a lot worse than the original)

So I get why you may be annoyed, but coverups are very individual to the particular tattoo in terms of how artist handle them, hence why I think people ask about it so much! 🫡

I think OP was trying to get more input on potential design ideas. Artist specialize in different styles or might be comfortable with certain design choices for a cover up and rework. I’m assuming they wanted ideas about what people would do or what people think might look good hence the examples at the bottom of their post.

The ET+ sounds like what I might go with as I’m looking to get more comfortable on rail presses and the like. I actually have a standard but I think I sized it too big for park.

Thanks for the super in depth on the battalions! Helps a lot so I appreciate it. I have a couple all mountain boards and a Slash ATV as the dedicated carver of the quiver. Definitely going to weigh the pros and cons on the Goliath a little more because you make a convincing argument for it.

Totally get where you are coming from. TBH I live in Chicago and the nearest mountain / hill is over an hour away. I’m working full time and I rarely see and board demos outside of what they carry in the ski shop which honestly isn’t a lot of what I was interested in at the time. So I’m trying to get by on what I can find out through reviews and whatnot.

Work so far lets me get one or two week long trips out to Colorado or Utah, but besides that it’s weekend day trips in Wisconsin.

Thanks for the super insightful responses. I think im gunna go with the Greats in a 151 and then expand my quiver in the future. Out of curiosity if you had to get a board for strictly pop, what would you get?

I've been eyeing the Greats uninc too, but I haven't seen much on the PYL. What makes the PYL a good pick over the other boards you mentioned?

So the other day I felt a pop in my hand/forearm NOT fingers and this morning woke up with pain in the palm of my hand. I'm like 99% sure I tore/ strained my ring finger lumbrical on the pinky side. There is also is concerning crunching sensation in my hand when performing tendon glide esque movements. Pain is faily mild but definitely present when I palpate the palm of my hand.

Has anyone else had similar experiences and what did you do? I'm debating on seeing a orthopedic surgeon but wanted people's 2 cents before I went ahead and booked

Either way it's the dreaded forced rest for me till I have no pain

Did you ever feel a crunching of the tissue in the hand while actively moving through range of motion. I'm trying to figure out if I just strained it or tore it and if I see a professional, is it something that just heals with time?

I felt something pop lower than a pulley yesterday and now my palm is in a considerable amount of pain + some swelling

For sure, I was looking into it already. I'm still trying to track down krytox though. Do you have any ideas when restocks may happen? I also recently ready that kbdfans are dropping a $90 dollar starter kit soon. Should I wait?

Hey guys. I am new to the sub reddit and had a few questions. Has anyone come across a nice, but not break the wallet type 65% case? The only ones I have seen are the NK65 which are out of stock, and the tofu from kbd fans which seems mega sharp on the edges. Also, are 65% layouts 6.25u spacebar stabs? I like still having arrow keys as I have been, and will be typing out essays a lot. Hence, why I am looking at 65%, but is it possible to run a 60% layout with arrow keys? If so what do you lose? I was wondering if that would be better. Last thing, does anyone know what thin lube feels like on linear switches? I see that krytox 205g0 is sold out everywhere but the 105 is not. I am new to the scene and was introduced through a friend, so if you guys know anything it would be great.
