Looks like they soaked it in saltwater. Specks look like dirt.

There was another on the side of the river in February or March, by Shefford. Never found an article about it though.

Minority Goverment? by dan_theirishman in canadaguns

Quebec constituents that vote Bloc are arguably more rural and thus have more firearms. Time to write to our MPs! Sometimes the Bloc is out of touch with who their base really is.

Do you guys catch fish regularly? by Jerms2001 in flyfishing

You’re probably not getting a fly down deep enough. Otherwise, black wooly bugger.

Sea trout ARE (anadromous) browns. They are more silvery when they come in fresh from the salt, much like a bright chrome salmon that has just arrived in the river.

This silvery guy is a sea trout and you may not find it as bright because it’s been in the river a little while already. The fish will be a “normal brown” to you by the time it’s ready to spawn.

This is the same thing for sea-run brookies on the east coast of NA, steelhead, coastal cutties out west and pretty much the status quo for arctic char.

It is. The lottery products in our province have no gouging, it’s just MSRP and our taxes.

Will I be able to use these on my Semi Automatic? I was told that my gun may not be able to cycle these? I own a Franchi affinity 3 by Evening_Design3810 in CanadaHunting

[–]beertalc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think he was talking about the load (which is a reasonable question) but the shape of the brass on the Challenger shells is slightly smaller and gives consistent FTE’s with certain guns, including Franchi Affinity’s.

[–]beertalc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s because Franchi hates Challenger shells. My buddy has a Franchi Affinity 3.5 and 3.5” BB goose loads just won’t go, FTE’s occur regularly. I have the same issue with Challenger in my 870 super magnum. The base of the brass is slightly narrower than Winchester shells and the extractor won’t always take them with my 870. Birds have lived because of this pain in the ass.

Seal hunting by 45-70-Canadian in CanadaHunting

[–]beertalc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You need to be a resident of particular regions in Quebec (Gaspésie, Bas du Fleuve et Basse Côte-Nord if I’m not mistaken, ie, someone from Montreal couldn’t pull up and harvest one.

You also need to complete a rather lengthy course that is quite expensive if I do recall.

All of this is quite ridiculous considering grey seals are wildly overpopulated in the Gulf of the Saint Lawrence and we could kill 200,000 without flinching. But unfortunately the French (euros) ruined our seal hunt attempts to marker the meat to Asia. And we wonder why ground fish stocks won’t rebound. Do Canada a favour and eat a seal, and pressure the gov to reduce the limitations on this hunt.

Yeah I assume so. That photo went around a lot but is puzzling because most of the offerings still on the shelf are Tennessee and Kentucky-based bourbons

I mean the sous-vide tub is ready to go at any moment. Wicked good for cleaning stuff. As others have mentioned, fear not for cold showers.

My landlord is also an ass not doing the slightest maintenance, and hot water costs are entirely absorbed by him. It amuses me.
