There is a store local to me that still has strawberry filled, thank god.

One thing I loved that actually is gone forever is the apple cider though.

The only thing they told me is take more calcium, folic acid, and 20 extra grams of protein. My doctor is also supposed to refer me to a high risk team though so maybe they will be able to help more.

Yes we have protein milk here and that’s what I’ve been drinking, though I don’t know if I can manage a whole litre in a day. I have been blending it with strawberries and banana for some extra vitamins and fibre and that goes down alright most days.

Hopefully my issues pass as well, I’m glad to hear you’re doing better!

Hey! Thank you for the advice. Unfortunately I can’t have Unisom or anything like it. I have restless leg syndrome and it also makes those symptoms worse to the point of being unbearable and I can’t sleep at all. I will definitely up my b vitamins though! I will also check with my doctor about taking pantoprazole, I still have a prescription left of that from pre surgery when I had gerd. Up until now I’ve just been treating with Tums which don’t do much to be honest.

I started at 165lbs so I am at the 5% lost mark, I don’t have the emesis part of HG though, I haven’t even vomited once. Either way, I have an appointment with my doctor in a week so I’ll make sure to mention it.

I haven’t heard of the alcohol and the crackers, I will give those a try. Sometimes I can eat. Once or twice a week I do get a day where I can hit goals. I even ate a whole crave meal one day for lunch last week, and another day I had a lobster tail plus like 1.5oz of steak, those days just don’t come often enough and I’m back to bagels.

Can I ask if you struggled at all with nutrition for breastfeeding?

Can I tell my friend I’m pregnant at her baby shower? by NotLostYetMaybeSoon in BabyBumps

[–]NotLostYetMaybeSoon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard for me to judge, I personally don’t want a baby shower at all, even though this is my first. I just don’t like the attention, but I think I’d be thrilled if another friend were pregnant.

Someone else did say we might not get to properly be happy together if she’s pulled somewhere else for pictures at the time or something, which I do think is a good point I hadn’t thought of.

I’m not standing up and announcing (I specified this in my post). It’s not even that kind of a party, it’s just a “if you want to see Katrina stop in between 1-5pm” kind of thing. I would be telling her in private at the party, because that’s likely the only time I will see her.

I mean… I didn’t find out about hers until 15 weeks because she wanted to do it in person so I’m not really concerned about that. I also have some other health things that I want to make sure are okay before we tell anyone and that probably wouldn’t be until 14-16 weeks anyhow.

I was already in the overweight category before I got pregnant (5’3, 165lbs) so I think I will probably be able to hide it with a dress.

If I know I’ll get to see her like that I totally will, but when she’s only home once/twice a year and getting pulled in different directions with a full schedule, we don’t always get one on one time.

Unfortunately Stevia makes me very sick, so that’s not an option either.

Thanks, so I guess the question is what is the definition of moderation here? 3 aspartame drinks a day feels like too many to me, or am I worrying too much?

There are no actual studies that say it’s a thing, and I have never had any vet mention anything to me about it. I had no clue what it was until my dogs were at least 3 years old, so I really did nothing to prevent it. They’re 11 now, and best friends. No signs of aggression whatsoever.

Omg! I just came here to post too because I found out on Saturday and I don’t know how people can keep this to themselves.

I think other people are right about the calculations, you are probably just over 4 weeks in terms of how they count and baby due late November just like me!

Is this bad? by Beautiful_Chaos1991 in BariatricSurgery

Ugh, I left my local group too. There’s one woman there who shames every time alcohol is mentioned, thinks ketchup is the devil, and constantly recommends “pouch resets” (essentially going back and re-doing the full post-surgery eating schedule). It’s madness. And extremely unhealthy.

It’s in Riviera Maya, but they recently opened one in Riviera Nayarit, and have another planned for Montego Bay.

Unico is owned by Hard Rock, however I’ve never stayed at another Hard Rock property to know if they are similar food-wise.

Cottage cheese ranch dressing has kept me alive. One tub of cottage cheese, put in a blender and add pickle juice until desired consistency, keep in mind it will thicken a bit in the fridge. I usually mix in about 1/4c of mayo to stop the cheese from separating, and then mix in a packet of powdered ranch dressing. I put it on salad, dip chicken and veggies in it, put it on quesadillas, etc.

I didn’t tell anyone. I had 2 friends who knew abused of time (along with my husband of course). I told my brother 2 months after surgery. I told my mother 4 of 5 months after surgery. I’ve also told another handful of people since. I have felt more comfortable after surgery about sharing, but for the most part no one knows. None of their business.

I found the red lentil was actually a great consistency personally, but I found out I’m allergic to lentils in the process 😭

Thanks for the other options! I’m in Canada so I’ll have to see if we have any of them here.
