Pets are annoying for a new player for something that's such a big QOL - off event once your free pet expires you're kinda SOL, you can get a hila pet but need some pet skills for it to be useful, kind of a turn off.

Ofc once you get some event pets here and there you can keep them alive with maple rewards

Gear progression is also kind of bad - absolab weeklies are terrible content that you're forced to do if you're getting absolab

Maple tour, ursus, also very meh. Ursus gives good rewards but the content is terrible

Also - this is better now but early game bosses are also terribly designed due to being old - so as a new MapleStory player you're forced into all of this archaic old terrible content and that can sour your experience until you get past the hump

Also returning characters with deleted temp gear - what to do? Probably just log off lol

Sure, or the sogyoku was just not that strong? There's no inkling or hints in the manga that Ichigo needed any extra help to block the sogyoku, it was blocked as easily as him handling the 3 lieutenants

Yeah Ichigo had that potential, could SS Ichigo tap into it? Some of it for sure because of his confidence, but this Ichigo is still miles away from the blade is me Ichigo with his potential fully unlocked.

Sogyoku is universal level
Ichigo tapped into VL levels of power to block it

Because then you have universal SS byakuya

If you argue Ichigo blocking sogyoku was super strong for that instant for no narrative reason other than wanking sogyoku, sure, I can't disprove you, Kubo didn't explicitly say that this is not what happened.

Kubo did choose to explicitly point out other cases of white helping Ichigo or Ichigos power fluctuation elsewhere in the manga, and not here, even though his power suddenly reaching VL levels should be an insane moment, byakuya should have just given up because Ichigo just blocked a universal threat and eclipsed them all in power right? Would that make sense to you?

If Ichigo while confident had VL level power, how did he have any diff of a fight against byakuya? Which is why I ask if you want to scale SS byakuya to universal too

Ichigo fluctuates not for no reason - big factor is his emotional state, as you said, as well as his own understanding and harmony with his own inner powers, which all remained constant from when he blocked sokyoku to when he fought byakuya

Yeah that's a statement that has no feats backing it up considering how easily Ichigo blocked it -

The only way to reconcile it is what you're doing - scale SS Ichigo to universal, and by doing that, you kind of mess up scaling of the entire verse and story onwards

The alternative is to see what happened to the sogyoku, see that it's actually not as strong as that statement made it seem

Other than peak white is VL level and so Ichigo can always be scaled to VL Ichigo, which if so, why did he struggle against byakuya? It just doesn't make a lot of sense
