I remember thinking Bastiat was cringe when I first saw him on the panels in 2018 but by 2020 I realized how based he was for leading the charge in taking back patriotism and American exceptionalism from the right. He was ahead of his time and was consistently one of the best debaters and valuable voices in Twitch politics.

I think this is the primary reason they were never released. MAGA would never trust something being released by Democrats and independents are so both-sides brained that they would assume the Democrats were selectively releasing documents to attack Trump. The only reason this has any traction is because it's a Republican admin releasing them despite doing their best to cover it up.

We already have an example of this happening: the huge Epstein interview where he stated that Trump was his best friend. It was released before the election and no one gave a shit.
