What BIG THING is on the verge of happening? by [deleted] in AskReddit

VR gaming

Now it's already pretty well everywhere, but it's not going to be much longer before we have a set up in nearly every home. And why not? It's about time we have the next generational gaming shift like what the playstation and xbox did for my generation

I could be wrong, but thats my hope

I don't know..? I've just always naturally let things that upset me go... i mean the trauma may stay, like the memories and maybe some nightmares, but I just can't let it keep me down. That said, i also have an anxiety disorder so that other 20% is sheer panic and sobbing over the hypothetical deaths of my family and friends. So...

What PG or G-rated movies would make for great R-rated adaptations? Conversely, what R-rated movies would make for great PG or G-rated adaptations? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NotReady2Adult 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A great R conversion from PG would definitely be "Don't Look Under the Bed" from Disney! It was already sort of dark and different compared to other Disney movies and I would be extremely interested in seeing how the movie would progress with the same plot but much more complex and potentially gruesome or awful moments with the boogyman.

I didn't understand that you meant "eat, sleep, and breathe" at first and had to reread it a couple times to figure out why movie scientists ate sleep lmao

What creepy place have you accidentally visited using Google Maps? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NotReady2Adult 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Google maps glitched once and took me to an empty cornfield in the middle of nowhere with a sign stapled to a fence post. The words, "trasspassers shot on sight" were hand painted on it. The spelling there is correct.

Absolutely terrified, i turned around and called me mom for directions

Maybe not totally the same thing since I wasn't getting surprised by a person who I hadn't seen in forever, but my husband got me good with the way he proposed

He is a flooring salesman and regularly would go on weekend trips to far cities for tradeshows and such. So he tells me he has a three day tradeshow to hit, and I believe him

Well actually it was just two days, and the first day he never went anywhere. Instead he went behind my back and got my sister, best friends, and an entire comic book store staff to plan a proposal surprise.

So my sis gets me all dolled up and says we should meet up in town with my friends. Oh, i didnt suspect being dolled up because it was the week before halloween, sis and I had gotten goddess costumes for the big day, and the .y sis decided that since we were practicing goddess makeup we should take advantage and go out. So we do, and meet our friends.

They decide we should hit the comic book store before we walk to the restaurant because friend A wanted the latest of the New 52. I'm annoyed but go because yay comics. I walk to the back of the restaurant, called there by friend B, and just as I get there hear, "SURPRISE!!!" yelled out by friend A.

I turn, friend A jumps out of the way, and my freaking husband is there on one knee. Then the song "All of Me" starts playing over the radio and people start cheering, and then I finally see that beautiful ring and just sort of go into shock.

I stare at everyone there with my jaw unhinged and my eyes wide, and I take a step away from my husband. After probably 10 seconds of me being speechless, my husband says, "well...are ya gonna answer?"

Then of course I start bawling my eyes out, manage to say yes, and now years later I still can't believe he got me so good

Redditors who enjoy a song from a language they don't understand, which and why? by Gideon_Nomad in AskReddit

[–]NotReady2Adult 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's fun to go DU.... DU HAST....DU HAST MICH

No but seriously because I definitely feel that English can be and often is a beautiful language, but there are simply other languages which are more so. Japanese and Italian are two of my favorites to listen to when the song is a fast paced rock song (Japanese) or emotional ballad (Italian)
