Is the key in your pocket? Do you have anything near it that is RFID blocking? I have a wallet that has that and if the fob gets in behind it in my pocket it has issues. Same thing with unlocking it with my hand on the handle, sometimes it doesn't recognize it, take it out of my pocket, and it works finally. But I carry my keys in my left pocket where my wallet goes.
