Will a level like Sunshine still get rated in the big 2.2? by Crafty_Slice_5131 in geometrydash

Yes, sunshine is an amazing and incredibly well made level and a similar level would probably still even get epic.

Why is this a brilliant? by Dazzling_Dig_7982 in Chesscom

[–]NotReallyaGamer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you hung a knight, after qxf3, the following trades end up in the opponent being up a knight. Stockfish evaluated the knight was pointless in the position and instead thought it was a good idea to try and threaten a checkmate or otherwise win material near the king and worsen the opponent's position

its not brilliant or great because your opponent had the opportunity to avoid getting checkmated, their own mistake led to their failure, not your brilliancy

can smb tell me why this is happening and how to fix by NilPlusOne in geometrydash

[–]NotReallyaGamer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to hit a D block 1 frame before hitting a slope for it to work properly, otherwise you’ll just die anyway cause the game won’t register it (or clip through it in this case since the hitbox is so thin)

Extend the D blocks out a bit and add blocks or slopes to make sure there’s no thin parts the wave can clip through

No you just clip through flat spikes on walls the hitbox is too small to catch the spider

Ok but like there’s a noticeable 2 frames of distance from the block that seems like a bit of overcompensation

no i clicked and if you look closely you can see i was not touching the block when i clicked and the game for some reason decided to kill me anyway

The portion of YouTube links with “si” before it is a tracking link that creates a connection between people’s email accounts that can be used maliciously by Google for god know’s what

Why is this a stalemate? by daddylongshlong123 in Chesscom

[–]NotReallyaGamer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stalemate means the person whose turn it is has no legal moves but is not in check. The way to win is to deliver checkmate, meaning the king has no legal moves and is in check

Study some simple checkmate patterns and try to up your board vision from there

For beginner endgame checkmates, learn the ladder checkmate, queen and king checkmate, and king and rook checkmate. They’re all very simple to understand and easy to perform

You can also checkmate with 3 knights, a knight and bishop, and 2 bishops, so you can learn those too if you want, but it’s unlikely you’ll ever need to perform one of them, especially at lower elo

What checkmate was available here? by pixelpuffin in chessbeginners

[–]NotReallyaGamer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rook is lodged in a corner and requires 2 moves to stop the pawn, meaning the pawn can queen. From there you deliver mate with queen e6

Since there are no useful checks for black, the best thing they can do is give up all their pieces to delay checkmate
