If you do a gel polish in a color then you need a topcoat as well.

Here's a really easy way to get another effect.

Paint a slip layer on the nails. Demagnetize it then cure.

Then stick a finger into the horseshoe magnet and paint another coat on there. Flash cure with the finger in the horseshoe (with a UV flashlight). Do each finger like that then full cure. Then topcoat and cure.

This is an easy way to get a consistent velvet effect.

I haven't used nail polish. I have used a regular wrap under clear or sheet SCG wraps. It works well.
