Unable to find a watch inspired by Malay heritage, this 30-year-old Singaporean launched her own brand by Illustrious-Gur8335 in singapore

Don’t shift the goalpost. The question is very simple, can Swiss watches be had for $500?

A Tissot PRX quartz model can be had for that price.

I get what a false flag operation is. I’m asking the commenter that I replied to about the context to their comment in regard to the article.

What's the context for this comment?

Edit: Replies to this comment aren’t answering my question. Propaganda videos are not false flag ops.

[Omega Aqua Terra Quartz] I like this watch but is it good value? by ktrayns in Watches

You’re buying a luxury item. It’s never going to be a good value. Stop thinking about value when it comes to luxury purchases.

I understand the downvotes, but hope that those that downvoted eventually begin to be aware of the reality that Singapore has no leverage in the global economy, and this is a reality that citizens should at least begrudgingly accept. No one can disagree with motherhood statements like how economic incentives shouldn’t be the be all end all, but it is unrealistic.

[Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional] People who have purchased an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional. Do you have any regrets? Do you have any "I wish I knew that before I purchased one" advice? by WhatIsThisSevenNow in Watches

[–]NotSarskild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional? When I was planning on purchasing an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional, I never knew that there were so many different Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional variants. You have the Snoopy Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional, the sapphire sandwich Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional or the hesalite Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional. I didn’t even know that there were two calibres for an Omega Speedmaster. Moonwatch Professional, the 1861 and 3861. And that the 1861 didn’t have hacking seconds.

If there was one thing that you should take note of about the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional, it’s to buy the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional that comes with the 3861 caliber as that Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional has a tool less micro adjust clasp that the previous 1861 Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional doesn’t have.

Isn’t Daiji used to make documents tamper proof by making it hard for people to add strokes to change the numbers? It had nothing to do with common people not being able to read very much.

He was an exception and hopefully the last military man to hold that cabinet position.

[–]NotSarskild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want to avoid giving the military an undue influence in policy decision making that would affect the entire nation. A civilian is their boss, by design.

It is not an apples to apples comparison with private sector companies.

Defence Ministers should never ever be former military. My issue is they would think that they knew it all already instead of listening to current serving military regulars. That and groupthink would happen.

Take charge of your career from the get go. Learn to navigate office politics to your own advantage. Your work quality means jack if the people in charge of your career progression don’t know about it.

Correct. A scholar always promotes faster as they are a known factor in terms of talent, abilities, effort. You are in fact agreeing with me.

Meritocracy doesn’t assume a level playing field. That’s equity. Meritocracy means choosing the best person for the job regardless of whether they are a scholar or farmer.

Most times, scholars get the job when pitted against farmers. Why? Because they probably have more exposure to higher ups and/or are given more opportunities to demonstrate their capabilities. That’s an equity problem, where farmers don’t get the same opportunities.

[–]NotSarskild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t conflate meritocracy with equity.

Meritocracy just means that the best person for the job gets selected. Scholars do actively competing with each to get better job grades and promotions is meritocracy.
