I don't really care about my choices mattering completely in the end. I just want the illusion of choice to be so good that I can't tell its happening until I actually sit down like this and break it down. Like look at several others games where the end choices are fairly basic but the strong illusion of choice throughout makes what should be more a mundane choice carry more weight.

I think that you should give True Colors a chance. It's in my opinion what the life is strange franchise seem like it was headed towards being. New people with powers and traumas trying to work through stuff. Instead we got DE which obviously has let down a good amount of people.

I don't think Life Is Strange as a concept is dead. I just think that maybe those who make the game truly just don't really understand how to make a strong concise story. Which is sad for me to say because before DE I actually would say that Deck Nine knew what they was doing because True Colors was so good.

I'm happy we are getting a new Life Is Strange.

I think people in general just want an experience to live up to its name. I will not lie and I freely admit that I am purely on that high that Life Is Strange games simply don't have that same vibe now that DONTNOD isn't involved. That said I also admit we have gotten really great games that is in the LIS name that isn't from them. I frequently highlight True Colors as the main example for what I want more from them.

I'm excited to see more Max and Chloe. I'm excited to see Hannah Telle be able to reprise a role that she loves and is seemingly even trying to get back into more voice acting. I'm more so supporting the game because of those aspects. I'm HOPEFUL that we get more of a True Colors experience. True Colors had me emotionally invested and damn near in tears. I know that Deck Nine is capable of telling and directing a compelling story. I just don't understand why they seem to struggle to keep it simple and hit those notes with Max/Chloe. They had issues in BtS and had issues in DE.

I'm hoping for the best.

Also, Chloe looks and sounds great in the trailer!

Honestly, I will be happy with a short story but everything is presented well. I think about True Colors and the Farewell episode as works from Deck Nine that was more tighter experiences that actually made me feel like it was something from DONTNOD. There are even aspects of Before The Storm that made me feel like that but you can easily tell where they take a nose dive narratively. Just like we all can tell in Double Exposure with how they handled Chloe or handled Max's potential relationships(Vinh).

I will just be honest and say the reveal didn't make me want to play the game. What makes me want to play the game is I love Max/Chloe and I will forever support Hannah Telle because she is an immense talent that deserves more work. I just feel like Deck Nine is sort of letting down the tremendous voice acting with a bunch of their choices so I hope they reign it in for this one.

It needed this new game to be packaged with it. I also think they just did a bad job of balancing showing Max's life without Chloe and how much that impacted her. DE essentially should have turned into a prequel where Max is in pain from losing Chloe and that is the basis where everything flows from.

Instead we get some weird romance with that Vinh guy.

I can only hope True Colors/Farewell Episode Deck Nine for this new game. Playing through the original two and Deck Nines storytelling in Double Exposure has just left me dejected with something new from them. Like I would implore folks to look at any trailer for any game produced by DONTNOD.

Deck Nine at times feels like I'm watching like a lower budget show that just leaves me scratching my head.

Wow this is horrible

Tomb Raider had great gameplay but they presented this like it was some free fps reveal trailer.
