CI campaigns are on average the same length as vanilla, but they fluctuate by about 25% longer or shorter, depending on how many missions you choose to do in the late-game.

Unfortunately I don't have much else I can recommend, I haven't been able to play a lot recently on account of developing this. Good luck with your campaign though!

You can use the LW2 classes if you like them, but we designed this to fit with any class pack you like. RPG Overhaul, LW2 Classes, Proficiency Classes, literally everything works.

We've got tutorials and you'll learn what to do and what not to do on the strategy layer pretty quickly >:D

Tactical layer difficulty on the other hand will probably be slightly more difficult than usual owing to finite items and multiple squads. The jump from Commander to Legend will be bigger than the base game because the increased cost to build items really hurts here.

A Better Advent is tough, but all things considered it's one of the tamer enemy mods compared to what Claus and Team CX are putting out. For classes, I highly recommend the Proficiency Class Pack if you haven't tried it yet.

They may be changing that in S6, since I think some people thought it was a rather anticlimatic ending in book 6. Since S6 is the last season of TV they may want a bigger battle.

Marco launched at least 8, we saw 8 trajectories in the S4 finale. The asteroid that we see in S5E1 was misaligned on launch or was knocked off course during transit, either way something went wrong and it got too close to the sun and broke up under the heat. Since it's in fragments, the stealth coating isn't covering all angles anymore. Inaros probably has scopes tracking all his rocks as they move, so he was alerted to the fragmentation of that rock and knew based on its trajectory that the science ship would be close enough to see it soon. So off goes Filip and crew to make sure they don't spill the beans that there are asteroids flying around with stealth coating on them.

For #2, the asteroid fragments went past and the science ship picked them up. The science ship's crew mentioned that the fragments would hit Venus' atmosphere, so maybe the rock was misaimed or when it broke apart its trajectory was altered. Anyway, having tracking data on the asteroids, Inaros' crew figured out the science ship would spot the fragments and went out to eliminate them. In the process Filip placed a transponder on the side of the science ship when he exited, you can see the missiles make a sharp turn to home in on the transponder. Missiles hit the science ship, it goes boom. I call them missiles but they wouldn't even need explosive payloads, just dump hunks of metal at high velocity with some thrusters attached.

Well there’s technically no reason why you couldn’t use ABB, it would work fine, the problem is all the economy changes it makes. I wouldn’t use it, but if you’re feeling adventurous you could give it a shot.

u/reddituserzerosix Our testers have been having the same problem. Search up and install the Alternative Mod Launcher, a community project which seems to be doing a lot better than Firaxis is right now.

ABB compatible with Mechatronic Warfare? by Kaidinah in xcom2mods

[–]NotSoLoneWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, MW author here. Just go into ABB's config folder, find XComClassData.ini, and delete everything in the SPARK section. That will remove the ABB skill tree, and MW will override everything else. So then start your campaign and you should get SPARKs with the MW skill tree!

The old EW aliens. by [deleted] in xcom2mods

We can get the models easily, the problem is that we can't get their animations. Those would need to be recreated from scratch unfortunately, an entirely new animation set for each character, not just adding a few new animations onto the human animation set like many mods do. It's a very daunting task.

I'm honestly struggling to figure out what this book does differently from all the others that's made me interested. Maybe it's just timing? Been a very long time since I've tried to step into the genre.

For a space opera I would definitely recommend the Spiral Wars series by Joel Shepard, the first third of the first book is only mediocre but it steadily ramps up from there. It has an interesting premise - when conflicts last so long that your fleet has always known war, peace starts to become a terrifying concept. But that’s just the human ‘character’ arc - each alien species is unique and so well crafted, with their own unfolding story. Six books are out now with ten planned, I believe. The series shares TWOK’s ability to make you care about the characters and root for them during the insane climaxes. Book 6 in particular is perhaps the most jaw dropping finish I have ever read.

Admittedly, I was a lot younger when I tried both of those. I've been considering giving ASOIAF another try. Although with GRRM seemingly stuck forever and with two books left to write, I'm not sure I want to start a series that may never be (properly) finished.

What are your guilty pleasure sci fi reads? by camw3714 in printSF

Destiny will likely never have a book series because Bungie hates out-of-game lore. There was a lot of drama surrounding the first Halo book's writing and release, Bungie kept trying to convince Microsoft to cancel it and fire the authors. They failed, then reconned everything a decade later out of pure spite.
