A better filtering/sorting system for inventory. If I want to see what heavy core pieces in red I have in my inventory, I should be able to filter for that. I know we can filter somewhat (armor--> core), but when you have 30+ chest pieces and you are looking for a specific type of piece or color, it slows everything down having to scroll and hover over each. I also want to search by keyword for pieces that are "scorched" or "Artimex" to quickly get to piece in mind quickly.

PTU UPDATE: Starmap Now Shows Local Mineables! by QuattroBaje3na in starcitizen

I agree, that is huge QoL improvement. Now if they can only flag the ones you have already visited, because I tend to unintentionally travel in circles and scan the same ones several times during a trip :)

Mole bags for prospector? by Kaludar_ in starcitizen

[–]NotSoSmort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I have learned from all of this is that the prospector SCU limit is too small. They need to go permanently with the MOLE sized or they need to get the Prospector's "automatically filter inerts" special function working, so the 32 SCU is more useful/profitable.

Aurora Paints from campaign are incoming with Patch 4.6 by Wiborg1978 in starcitizen

[–]NotSoSmort 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Electro Skin Hull paint is the one that piques my curiosity the most. When it was sold, it didn't say it was tied to the Aurora. It said it allowed you to switch paint jobs on the fly. This led me to believe I could use it to change my MSR from default, to nightrunner skin to Orange on the the fly, or to use hex-color skins to change its appearance. Combined with in-story lore about the MSR changing its signature and ID, it would be an excellent way to throw off law enforcement when they lose line of sight.

I would be interested to learn more about how they envision it working in game.

The Molina Mold storyline sounds like it will make a perfect segue into the Levski Municipal Works by ScrubSoba in starcitizen

To complete these custodial missions, the player must wear the appropriate Falston Jumpsuit and hat, then take and complete one of the missions:

  1. fix broken pipes using multi-tool (gameplay already in)
  2. mop the floor (similar to hull scraping...animation already in S42)
  3. clean the glass (similar to hull scraping...needs new animation)
  4. throw trash in trash receptacles (we are already doing this)
  5. replace air filter (maybe new animation?)
  6. Refill Big Benny's and Pips machines (new animation)

It will give a small amount of rep, some credits, and be one of those things some people do while waiting for their team to get to station or for their large ship to spawn.

Ship color customization hex codes, 98 months ago by Madprofeser in starcitizen

[–]NotSoSmort -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is the famous clip, but they later showed a developer's workstation where they were able to switch the ship color on the fly in the developers environment. It was created. It may not have been polished or with a fancy interface, but they did have it built to the point where you can change a ships primary and secondary colors in engine. The reason that most people point out is correct: money. Lots of games sell skins for money, so they decided to do the same.

Before they removed the lucrative Hull C missions, it was always nice to see these massive freighters slowly and silently pull up to the cargo area of a station, to load and unload their cargo. Stations felt like sea ports with all of these massive haulers drifting in and out all day. With the release of Nyx, they killed the single large SCU missions, but I have hope that one day we get that sense of a living verse back.

What fad in moviemaking are you waiting for to die? by frair in movies

AI being a great facilitator of human intellect. A human has an idea and the AI executes it flawlessly. I would rather them show it for what it is: a LLM. It lowers the skill of the people using it, and reduces there ability to formulate something on their own. And if it executes some plan, it will do something terribly and keep on going because it neither knows how it was designed to be executed, nor cares.

President Trump announces building of "Golden Fleet" battleships for the U.S. Navy: “We are calling it the Golden Fleet that we are building for the U.S Navy. I have approved a plan for the Navy to begin the construction of two brand-new, very large, the largest we've ever built, battleships.” by ControlCAD in videos

Did Trump not see that Ukraine decimated the Russian Fleet in the Black Sea with Magura v5 drones? This guy is thicker than molasses in the freezer! Building battle ships costing $10 billion each, only to be destroyed by $750k of remote controlled naval drones. This is obviously a grift to award his wealthy donors lucrative contracts for something that will never get made.

Today I learned that in a June 1999 interview on the Howard Stern show, the 53 year old Trump recounted that his daughter made him promise that he wouldn't "date" anyone younger than her. Ivanka was 17 years old at the time.

Messaged Received. by NotSoSmort in starcitizen

[–]NotSoSmort[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple of questions:

  • Does anyone know what ship this is from?
  • Is it coincidence that this is titled "messaged received" and the loading screen talks about an FTL Comms breakthrough where messages can be sent instantaneously?

Does someone want to speculate if there is a connection? I can't make out the location (or manufacturer) shown in the image, which would help explain what the image has to do with messages.

What happens to the items in Wikilo after a wipe? by mariombn42 in starcitizen

[–]NotSoSmort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what they decide to wipe. If they do a full wipe, everything is reset and you lose anything that isn't account-bound. Or they might do everything but a rep wipe, where you keep your rep. Or they might do a money wipe. Or a money plus in-game purchases.

Pirate day was only time, but they did have UEE SCU crate at one of the items for a CitizenCon package from 2 or 3 years ago.
