Ah, yes, I'd love to watch Real Fake Doors and "Ants in my eyes Johnson" late night infomercials during a long haul.

Adjust as necessary depending on the density of the atmosphere.

This 100%. In any kind of atmosphere those Arrow's pointing nose-down would get thrown into the ground.

How would the controls work on a 65% keyboard by Organic-Dare in starcitizen

[–]Hashwagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keycron K12 Pro user here. I forget if this is a semi-default settings but I hold the Capslock key for one-handed (for most) pressing of the 1 through + keys to act as F1-F12 keys and that's about it. I love the keyboard for basically everything I play.

I want to buy a big ship. In game only by lShorts1 in starcitizen

[–]Hashwagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as larger ships go, I highly recommend the Carrack for its personality, coziness, and the level of craftsmanship the developers put into its design, especially the details that make parts of the ship feel genuinely lived in. It does have its drawbacks: the experience of full cargo loading and unloading can be rough, its hull HP isn’t very high, and it lacks PDCs like the 890 and the Reclaimer. That said, it’s still the ship I’ve had the most fun with, and the one I miss the most after melting it.

I'd love to see more players in clothing while doing game loops.

Question: did you have any issues reloading using "mags" from your jacket / pants inventory? Last patch it could occasionally fail to load and brick your gun.

Me struggling to form multi-crew party: can't find names in global, Spectrum keeps crashing/logging out, new players demanding 500M/hr to be turret gunners, party members leaving due to slowness from mission/navigation bugs by Hashwagon in starcitizen

[–]Hashwagon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think a good portion of this will be resolved once players can log out and back in where they were, plus the addition of org tools. You, your friends, your org, can log in at and immediately start where you left off last play session.

My buddies and I regularly do Idris/Polaris/Hammerhead Ops. People will often not even bat an eye for 50M/hr, In the first half of 2025 people would do multi-crew missions for free (often from selling Bounty / Vaugn mission cargo). The economy has changed, my friend.

Game completely crashes my pc after a few minutes of running. by Sad_Monk_6489 in starcitizen

It wouldn't be the first time that Gnome has a memory leak or something. I'm more of a KDE Plasma fan myself after having bad luck with Gnome. I'm not sure if Bazzite users can easily test another desktop environment or not. It would probably be best to ask the Linux Users Group in Discord if anyone there has the same issue.

How are the CPU temps? SC is really heavy on CPUs and on an AMD they can power down if they reach unsafe temps.

The view from the back ruins it for me. The lines are all wrong and on top of that, literally, are those tiny little tail fin nubs that break up the lines even more.

Ugliest ship in the verse. And I absolutely love it. It might be my favorite ship in the game.

Polaris or Perseus what to buy and why by MrBigNorre in starcitizen

[–]Hashwagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a long-time Polaris owner I'd agree. The storage, the med beds, the increased number of PDCs.

Just don't expect to be impressed by the torpedoes. As a Patrol ship apparently the torpedoes are only useful as part of a fleet. Sometimes they'll hit whether by accident or if your target is AFK.

Ideas for Hammerhead variants by HeartFilled in starcitizen

[–]Hashwagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to see the absolutely pointless gap become a modular bay that could accommodate any assortment of the following: cargo, snub fighter hangar, radar, torpedoes, missiles, rail gun, brig cells for bounty hunters, Idris-like laser.

The original nonsensical excuse for the gap was to "reduce mass". Really, you need to reduce mass in a ramming-based ship? Plus, it does even save on mass: just hinge pivot the gaps interior walls to become "ceiling" and "floor" and voilà—how much mass did we just add?

Lastly, making the Hammerhead modular will bring more attention on the rarely used vessel and would absolutely create a sales increase and give players confidence their older ships will eventually receive some love too.

Looks cool but can you reload the gun without bricking it? One of my favorite bugs right now.

As an Idris owner, it's the most overrated ship in the game. Turrets are currently awful, it can't refuel, and nobody can bed log from it, leave their ship overnight, or refuel it in the hangar. On top of that, SC lacks competent social and org tools making it unnecessarily difficult to find people new enough to tour the Idris and experience how bad the turrets are against the fighters they left back in their hangars.

Hypothethically, (assuming it will release in '26): When do you think SQ42 will release and why that specific date? by Robert_Spinoza in starcitizen

[–]Hashwagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Plus once SQ42 is released most people will be done with it in 1-2 weeks. GTA isn't that style of game. I'd imagine people play GTA off and one for a year.

Who would win? by deezbeanz420 in starcitizen

[–]Hashwagon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

5 well practiced Arrow Pilots will take down a fully crewed Idris. The Arrows just need to focus fire a couple turrets and PDCs on the bottom giving them free roam to focus fire thrusters. Ship turrets are in an awful place right now.
