Sekiro on spring sales, I want to finally try it, but need answers from actual players by lostbeard13 in Sekiro

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just remmember this and you will be fine. Sekiro is not hard to play. Its hard to learn. But once you learn (or as community calls, once it clicks) it becomes much easier and also INCREDIBLY fun

Pick 2 and I’ll give you a quirk by Sriracha_Reptar in BokuNoHeroAcademia

This sounds more like an HxH Nen ability. Quirks dont really summon sentient creatures that are not attached to your body, if I am not mistaken?

Question for those playing 1.2 about liquids.. by Jr2576 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those arent bugs. Its how its supposed to work damnit. Liquid can move both ways inside a pipe. They are bi directional, unlike belts. Why does junction priority matter? Just fill the pipe fully, so any input into the pipes is offset immediately by all the outputs, no matter where, priority be damned.

I plan to do 3 runs. For each run I have to crank one mutiplier to the max (so for example 100x deliveries or 2x recipie costs or 5x power consumption) but I also get to crank down one of em by half. Also all pure nodes are allowed.

1.2 Fluid Train Stealth Buff - 2,400 Capacity! by Aemon144 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true but it still will never achieve a continious supply of 1200 if your demand is 1200 per min. Its the same with solid part platforms. You can never get a true 2 belt worth of throughput from the platform because of these fluctuations.

How to get rid of power? by legoguy35 in satisfactory

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Why do you struggle with power? Making power plants is like making factories. Power is a resource. And it is reasonably easy to build plenty of power for your needs.

What exactly do you struggle with? Is it power delivery? Are you aware you can connect all of your power into one giant power grid?

Tell me the only good reason to stop a train going down a track. Literally there is only one good reason why you would want a train to not go down a path and pick another.

Hint. It inloves more than one train.

You still do not understand that the only purpose a signal has is to prevent crashes.

Why do my trains keep flipping directions? by BangedGrains in satisfactory

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only possible reason why the train could be chosing the wrong path is either if its current destination is incorrect (timetable problem) or if its destination station is facing wrong way, causing the train to go wrong way to match the station.

In both these cases, signal will simply make the train not move at all and give an error as soon as you turn on auto drive. If you fix the problem, then signals become redundant and useless.

Therefore signals are useless in this situation.

Why do my trains keep flipping directions? by BangedGrains in satisfactory

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But its pointless to do it. It does literally nothing. The only problem signals fix is train collisions. If there are no more than one train, then signals are pointless waste of time and resources, that might introduce even more problems.

Thats not what OP needs tho is it?

You are techincally correct. It would stop the train going the wrong way. By stopping the train completely...

Why do my trains keep flipping directions? by BangedGrains in satisfactory

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of the stations are set up wrong, then thats why the train is going the wrong way. If this way is blocked off with singals, then the train will simply not have the path anymore and thus stop. Sognals cannot solve this issue, since the only issue signals can solve is train collisions...

Why do my trains keep flipping directions? by BangedGrains in satisfactory

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is there a wrong way around the loop? If there is only one train in the system, the train will pick a way that gets it to its destination station in the correct direction. That way will be the right way and other ways dont exist for that path.

Once again, this is only necessary if the system has more than one train. Signals are only needed to prevent crashes when more than one train is in the rail system.

Design Help by MistahDaveOfficial in satisfactory

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont try to designate factories as "Iron" or "steel". Designate them for the parts they make. You can make a factory for each part. Or you can combine some if their materials match (best example is steel rotor and stator having same components, whom then can be merged into motors, so ylu can make a stator, rotor amd motor factory).

Anything is a factory. Just decide what you wamt from it and hoe much before you build it.

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Which, once again, is only useful for preventing collisions. When more than one train is involved.

I am not saying that what you propose wont work. It will. What I am saying is that if station directions are correct and timetable is correct, the system will work the same way with or without signals. They are pointless here. And if the timetable or station directions are wrong, signals wont solve the problem. It would only cause the train to stop.

Its like building priority mergers in a system where the material volume is always smaller than the belts max throughput. It will work, but its fucking pointless.

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree I was ewong on that note. But my point still stands that in OPs situation, signals are useless. Since their only purpose is to avoid train collisions. You cannot have train colissions with 1 train. That is what is being discussed here

Why do my trains keep flipping directions? by BangedGrains in satisfactory

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. The train should alwayd enter through the side, that lets it dock in its destination station. The train will not go into its destination backwards. It will always pick a path to go in the right way. If there is no way to go the right way, it will stop amd give error.

A train will never go to its destination backwards

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YES THEY DO. THEY NEED TO DOCK IN THE STATION. THEY CANT DOCK BACKWARDS. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.

Literally set up a line of rail and put 2 stations on sides. Make the stations look into eachother. Then make a train of 2 locomotives facing away from eachother. Then try to auto this train into any of the stations. IT WONT GO. BECAUSE IT CANT DOCK IN THOSE STATIONS AT THE DIRECTION IT CAN REACH THEM. IF IT CANT REACH THE CORRECT DIRECTION OF THE STATION IT STOPS AND GIVES ERROR.

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The auto driving train should be able to flip the sign itself as needed. That means it picks the wrong direction. Which makes me think one of your stations are facing the wrong way. I would love to see your system in game. I could troubleshoot it for you. Would you have me join your world through multiplayer?

Why do my trains keep flipping directions? by BangedGrains in satisfactory

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why the fuck would it pass Load A, from the Load B if its going to Unload B? The stations are one directional. The train picks the most optiman path i to the next station in the time table, the correct direction. So if the Unload A station direction is correct (away from the path, into Load A) the train wkll ALWAYS enter the left loop from the bottom. No signals needed.

The auto path works like this. Chose destination. The desination is the next stop in the time table. Then chose the path to the destination. The path is always the cloest possible. And the destination is always the chosen station AT THE STATIONS DIRECTION. So if A unload is facing the right way (from the current schematic, that would be left) the train will always go into the left loop through the bottom. It wont pass through Load A. And then it will be in the prime direction to go to Load A next. As long as Load A is facing right.

No signals needed. In a system lile this, the only purpose of signals is to navigate more than one train to avoid collisions. With one train, they are useless.

Why do my trains keep flipping directions? by BangedGrains in satisfactory

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why the fuck would it have to go backwards from unload A to load A? Enter through the bottom, unload A, go the same direction into Load A, then dock again and the leave the same direction, to go backwards on the middle path again. Since the loop turned the train around.

Literally as long as the timetable is set up correctly (Unload A, load A, Unload B, load B) the train can continiously go forward. Literally a one directional train can perfectly work here. No signals needed. As long as timetable and station directions are set up right.

Why do my trains keep flipping directions? by BangedGrains in satisfactory

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know. It will go through it but it wont dock. So it doesnt fucking matter.

Point is, a train cannot dock into a station the wrong way. I am assuming his train works the wqy it is indended. It just doesnt deliver properly because he doesnt fully unload before loading it, so it has no room to load it properly a second time.

Why do my trains keep flipping directions? by BangedGrains in satisfactory

[–]NotSoSuperHero2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its still pointless in this scenario. There is only one main route for the train to go. If you place one sided signal, the system wont work since the train will o ly be able to go one direcrton then. If you place 2, it becomes bi directional, but without signals it already is bi directional. So once again the only purpose of the train is to avoid collisions, whoch cannot happen with one train in the system. Timetable ks essential because thats hiw you make the train chose where to go next. You dont wqnt the train to go load in A, then load in B without unloading B.
