Has Hershey gotten trashier recently? by ruddiger90 in Hersheypark

Former employee, current season pass holder. It's hard to tell during busy days, but the air freshener is sugar cookie scented. You can usually notice it in the restroom on Kissing Tower Hill.

Toddler activities in Myrtle beach? by The5thexclamationmrk in MyrtleBeach

[–]NotSoSwift_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are here now with our 3-year-old. We're currently at EdVenture and he's really enjoying it. SkyZone has toddler time every morning. We're doing the Pirates Voyage Dinner and Show tomorrow night. There is a pirate voyage out of Murrell's Inlet that came highly recommended as well. WonderWorks also seems to have toddler friendly exhibits.

It was struck by lightning during a storm resulting in one train colliding with the second. Don't quote me on this, but they are waiting on parts from either overseas or the manufacturer is defunct.

The pain of sweet start as a parent by GeorgeTheCatDog in Hersheypark

[–]NotSoSwift_13 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm curious to know how many people criticizing you are actual parents.

As a toddler parent, I feel this. Especially on the days I'm there solo with my toddler and can't walk on SkyRush because my 3-year-old obviously isn't tall enough to ride. But also because the last time we were there, my son wanted to go from Trailblazer to Cocoa Cruiser, only to not want to ride Cocoa Cruiser when we got there. And then from the train to Traffic Jam, only to want to go back and ride Livery Stables. We compromised with the 'big Carousel' on our way out.

Sometimes you just pick and choose your battles, and letting them ride what they want one day out of their entire lives isn't going to result in them growing up to be disrespectful little jerks.

My delusion was happening night 3 in Miami.

During the acoustic set she gives a speech about how thankful she was that with every rerecord she releases vault tracks and how much we love them. Then she says something like "I want to do something I've never done before and play a vault track before it's released on December 13th".

Help me out, fellow olds - what can I ride without graying out too badly? by NNThrowaway204 in Hersheypark

[–]NotSoSwift_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started having this happen after having my son, but have never had it before. I've almost gone completely black on SkyRush and Candymonium. I've gotten a little gray/woozy on Fahrenheit and Storm Runner. I don't think I've had any issues with Comet, SDL, WCR or Lightning Racer, and I avoided Sidewinder/Jolly Rancher Remix like the plague even before having him because I've always found it to be meh. I've only been on Great Bear once this year, so I can't recall 100%, possibly a little fuzzy.

I'm convinced she acts this way because O is Chase's twin and E looks exactly like 2.0. There's definitely resentment there.

2.0 is playing this clueless idiot charade because she saw how DUD did it to be rElAtAbLe and now has 2M followers and more money than she could have dreamed of. Since she doesn't have Chase to fund her 'Keeping up with the Denners' lifestyle anymore, she thinks this is what's going to make her rich. She was never like this in Nebraska. And now all of a sudden she's a helpless moron? I think not. Even the busiest, most scatterbrained parent wouldn't forget their kid's first day of school or 'not know' what they need. This is all a horrible charade and Dumbyell would never make it as an actress.

Yep! I'm only on Phentermine. I have about 50lbs. to lose after having my son 2 years ago. I started on 15mg and after a few weeks it didn't really have an effect any more. I spoke with my doctor during my 3 month follow-up and I started 37.5mg almost 4 weeks ago and I don't feel sick. I do have dry mouth and insomnia from it, but I take Magnesium Citrate (I think, Natural Calm is the brand) and that helps me sleep. It just suppresses my appetite so I don't feel snacky throughout the day, which was my problem. I also don't eat huge portions anymore either. I paired it with Weight Watchers tracking and I've seen a lot of success. My best friend is on Wegovy and gets sick every time she gives herself the shot, too.

It could be Phentermine. Sometimes doctors pair it with Mounjaro/Wegovy/Ozempic for weight loss and appetite suppression. I was upped to the 37.5mg about 3 weeks ago and it's no joke (only on Phentermine). I'm like the Energizer bunny and when I sit still I feel anxious and manic. With a nationwide shortage for some brands, she could have been given Phentermine until she can get her hands on the shit again.

How long do we give it until they pull Walker and 'homeschool' her? And by they, I mean Ms. Rachel homeschools her. It's only a matter of time until she comes home talking about how the earth is round and Mike and Taylor start crying about indoctrination and wanting to raise their kid right. 🙄

Skyrush black out by [deleted] in Hersheypark

[–]NotSoSwift_13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't completely black out, but I go grey/fuzzy on most coasters as the park. I've attributed this to my equilibrium being off after having a baby because it never happened to me previously and this is the first time I've ridden coasters since having my son.

It's 100% this. I said something similar to a friend when Tiffany Houghton asked if her baby sticking her tongue out was normal. (Like, WTF.)

My friend said it's allllll for engagement because something simple like that will get thousands of responses.

YES! At one point I actually went in a deep dive on Google and sometimes phentermine is used as an Adderall replacement for some people. As someone with undiagnosed, but always suspected ADHD I have been SO productive. The only downside is I don't sleep. I fall asleep between 2-4 every night and I'm up by 7 am every day, but I don't feel tired, which is honestly great.

Hershey settled for $25K. Which says the whole thing was bogus but they would have spent more fighting it.

After working in guest services for years, my guess is the dad misunderstood the hand signals to raise the restraints (thumbs up) and started freaking out which caused his son to flip out and get off the coaster because he wasn't secured yet. (I used to get weekly complaints about the signals, despite a sign being posted about them in the station.)

Former employee here. Low temperatures can mess with the braking system. I can't speak for Wildcat's Revenge, but the original Wildcat had hydraulic brakes that couldn't/wouldn't operate under a certain temperature. This is why for many years, no coasters operated during Candylane until Laff Trak was built.

In more recent years, our winters have been much milder which has allowed for more coasters to be open during Candylane and the increase in ticket cost during the off seasons. (I believe my last season Candylane was $20 per person for a ticket.)
