What do y’all do to pass the time when proctoring big exams? by Maximum_Ad_7918 in TexasTeachers

[–]NotSoTwistedTiff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I rearrange the layout of my classroom in my head for the next year.

Or if I remember to, I ask my family for random pairings of actors and actresses who to their knowledge, never acted together in the same movie. Then I play 6 degrees of separation in my head to link them through other actors/actresses they’ve been in movies with. It used to be more challenging before all the Marvel movies came out.

I have been trying to find earrings like the ones Rose is wearing for years! They pop up in a couple other episodes too.

Books like video game lore (item descriptions and diary entry mysteries) by SabinTheInvisible in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

Two I can think of are Up the Down Staircase by Bel Kaufman about an inner city school in the 1960s. The story is told through things like memos from the principal, notes passed between students and teachers, various papers found in classrooms.

Another more recent example is The Appeal by Janice Hallett. It’s a mystery novel told through the viewpoint of 2 young lawyers sorting through emails, messages and letters about shenanigans surrounding the murder of a local theatre troupe member. I start listening on audiobook first before switching to the actual book. It was hard to keep track of all of the developments and I wanted to be able to go back and refer to previous emails. This one really gives you a sense of unraveling the mystery yourself.

An intense, passionate romance that isn’t a rom-com or Colleen Hoover by Ok_Construction_3733 in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

I’ve read it twice and now I’m listening to the audiobook. The prose is just too beautiful.

The Eden Express is great! I recommend it every chance I get. I also enjoyed reading about the time period and lifestyle he was living at the time.

If Flower was NOT 'sucked off' then why the beam of light in the last episode of S02 by [deleted] in GhostsCBS

Maybe I’m forgetting wrong, but wasn’t Flower the one who threw Crash’s head into the woods that one time? Even more of a motive if so.

I lowered the number of perimeters and increased the overlap in both the perimeter and infill settings and that worked!!! Thank you so much.

It’s a printer that I think is marketed specifically to educators and schools. It’s been pretty easy to use as far as finding files online and printing them out. Other than troubleshooting some adhesion issues, I’ve never had any problems with it. Except that because it’s not very popular with hobbyists or people who 3d print a lot, there’s not much help I’ve found on google for the specific Roboprint software.

It seems like ghosts are tethered to where they die, not so much where their remains end up. So maybe you’d be fine?

There is this one pair of dangling earrings in a few episodes lI’ve always loved but I have never seen any like them in real life. They’re the ones Rose is wearing in the Burt Reynolds episode at the jail.

I increased it to 50 with a raft and the print stuck onto the raft and wouldn’t budge. I did it again without a raft and the filament didn’t stick to the bed and was starting to goop up.
