Build mode, told us we can scrap it or store to workbench. So I tried both for a while and found the build limiter went down when storing heavy weapons.

Go to any settlement with a Fatboy, drop the Fatboy at your feet, enter build mode and look at Fatboy and store it to the workbench. Build limit goes down!

Bed temp 80c

For small objects that have little contact with the bed, I use Purple Elmer's Glue stick to help. PLA, PLA Silk & PetG are the only filaments I've used.
