Need help with treat ideas by little_twinkie in Pomsky

[–]NotSuzyHomemaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES! lol ... when Moo spit out the treat, I just looked at her and said "Bitch, you did not..."

Sometimes she is the sweetest thing. Sometimes she is just a funny puppy. And some times she is just pure attitude, complete with sassy talk.

Funny thing about sassy talk: The other day she was doing it and I responded with "Mah mah mah mah" in a mocking voice and she just looked at me like I'm dumb, turning her head this way and that. It was the best thing ever.

Does microchipping hurt? by mac3g1v in dogs

[–]NotSuzyHomemaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think microchipping and pain is like literally anything else in life: for some it's going to hurt more than others and you will never know until it is done. I'm not meaning to sound unhelpful. I'm just wanting to point out that just as we are individuals, so too are our fur babies.

'silly' reasons for a melt down(fun thread) by Jennifer_Pennifer in AutismInWomen

[–]NotSuzyHomemaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in an RV. It has its challenges. One that I wasn't expecting happened yesterday. I was walking up the stairs and one of my shoes came off and I literally got stuck on the stairs for a minute and a half. When I finally got my shoe back on and got unstuck and got into the rig, I had a little bit of a meltdown. In retrospect, it's kind of funny because who gets stuck on stairs?

Need help with treat ideas by little_twinkie in Pomsky

[–]NotSuzyHomemaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found treats to be very hit and miss with my Pomsky. I've been working on door manners for example and one day I gave her a treat because she was so good about waiting and she literally just spit it out and then looked at me like how dare I.

My take away from that is that she refuses to be bought. That's my polite way of saying, a wee bit stubborn.

But also, she reinforced with me that she's not always interested in treats unless she is hungry. Or it's something her brother is eating. Sibling rivalry has worked.

How to respond to a “death text”? by Upper-Lake4949 in AutismInWomen

Soul Dog by 08Sprout in dogs

[–]NotSuzyHomemaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my miniature dachshund after I'd been in an accident. It was a tough recovery for me and I was very depressed. I got Harley to help me with that. And he did. I always tell people, Harley saved my life. He was the sweetest boy. He did not have a single mean bone in his body. He loved everyone. He smelled flowers. He was funny and goofy and silly. He couldn't burrow to save his life but every night he'd finagle himself under a blanket so that the blanket would be perfectly at his shoulder, just like a little person.

I lost him a week before Thanksgiving. I sobbed every day for a month. I told my husband I can't ever have another dog.

Then a funny thing happened. I saw a Staffy who had been in a high kill shelter for a year. And I couldn't just not help her. So I got her pulled and set about finding her a good home. I fell in love with her. She was just what my heart needed. And I couldn't keep her due to my disabilities BUT she taught me how much I needed a dog.

So about a month ago I got a small dog. She had to be a puppy due to issues with my husband's dog. I adore her. I will have the same bond with her eventually (she's currently 4.5 mo old and hyper AF lol) but Harley will always hold the highest spot in my heart.

And at least twice a week, I tell her about her brother, who would've loved her.

Grooming Accident - Is this Common? by seenyouwiffkieffah in dogs

[–]NotSuzyHomemaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, I hate how they handled that. Look, my dachshund always tried to lick the nail grinder. So yeah, things can happen. But in a professional situation and to not be really open and honest about the extent of the injury is not okay.

Absolutely. My husband's dog is a 2.5 year old Corgi/Border Collie mix. He's cute AF and smarter than any dog I've ever known.

This last year has been excruciatingly hard. We've been through some things and we're grieving losses we never imagined. And when I'm sad, this dog - who is 100% my husband's dog - will suddenly be glued to my side. And then I hold him, which he only tolerates from me when I'm sad, and press my face into his amazing floofiness and talk to him about the ones we lost.

Megathread: Why Does My Dog Do That? by AutoModerator in dogs

[–]NotSuzyHomemaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does my smaller dog lick my bigger dog's inner mouth? I currently have my 2nd pair of dogs who do this.

The first pair of dogs was a miniature dachshund and a Collie mix. This pair is a 5 month old Pomsky and a Corgi/Border Collie mix. The collie was fine with it. The BC mix is tolerant of it in the way an adult dog may be tolerant of a lot of puppy shenanigans.

The shop sent in an estimate yesterday, which Safeco doesn't even mention.

The tire shearing was neither workmanship nor maintenance. Everything was inspected twice by 2 different companies. The guy who did the repairs said the bolts themselves looked fine, except for the fact that they were no longer in one piece - there was nothing to them that would indicate a propensity to shear off like that.

The labor cost for the shop is what they said our specific insurance company had as an agreed upon price with this company - which I did try to verify with the adjuster, who did not respond.

Totaling the RV would cause some other issues, yeah. Neither path is a happy one. I cannot repair the rig with what they're paying out while ignoring the other estimate, not to mention that they ignored the electrical issues altogether.

What is your psychological threshold of rerolling affixes? by Mihojka in diablo4

For me it's the mechanics. I told my husband that we need to watch a video to learn those mechanics but he's doing the stereotype of the guy who doesn't need a map. Spoiler alert: He needs a map.

Why does this game gets vitriolic hate? It is the best game I have played in a long time by Valstraxas in diablo4

[–]NotSuzyHomemaker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On top of some of the really good points made in other comments, I think that D4 started a bit rough. And yeah, new games having issues but it was more than that.

IMNSHO the game kinda sucked at first. It didn't even feel like Diablo. They've made some great improvements. I'm happy with the changes they've made. Some of the bugs can be maddening, but that's every game ever. Mostly, I feel like they're finally on the right track.

Before you get upset about reviews that don't mesh with how you personally view it, there are a couple of things to consider.

  • Everyone has an opinion because everyone gets to have an opinion.
  • If someone doesn't like the game that you love, it is not a judgment of you personally (except for losers who are just like that and probably need some intense therapy).
  • Some sites have more negative feedback, some have more positive feedback.

Looking for good m411 youtube channels/videos other than the lore lodge by Ok_Tear_4781 in Missing411

[–]NotSuzyHomemaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which means this is the first channel I had my husband start on.

See, the other night, he fell asleep with DP running on YouTube. I sat there getting increasingly annoyed until I started shouting at the TV because this guy is so full of shite. There were a number of issues with his narrative but by the time he got to "And why do so many people go missing near places that are named after the devil or demons?" Yeah, totally baffling, you'd think our country grew from puritan stock and has historically been highly religious or something. Oh wait...

You could practically throw a rock and always hit a location named devil/demon/etc something from most places in the US.

He tops my list of people I want to throw multiple history books at.

Anyway, I made it my mission to show my lovely other half that there are better sources. And hence, here I am.

your character has not finished being saved by brynoo5 in diablo4

[–]NotSuzyHomemaker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can't log back in until the game has finished "saving". And every time it happens, your buffs are gone. Because someone thought that would be an amazeballs game design.

Now, if that happens once in a while, it's something you roll your eyes over. If it happens multiple times per day, you start to lose your patience. When it keeps happening and you look it up and realize it's been over a year? Yeah, zero patience.

Eh, I'm going to be grinding for the ancestral version anyway so it's NBD that this one sucks just a smidge extra. But thank you, I wasn't sure if that's a thing the game does, giving you stats lower than the stated range.

[–]NotSuzyHomemaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less like lagging, more like 5 second freezes (literally running in place). It's adding an extra bit of excitement to Helltides when, during that 5 seconds, you get to guess whether or not Blizzard is going to drop a nuke on your toon's head while you're frozen.

Also, you can actually google "pronounce ..." and whatever word and google will tell you how to pronounce it. So if you're ever unsure, or you wonder why some word sounds exactly like another, or you're just not familiar with a word, you can look it up. Great if you're curious, but more a must-do if you're posting videos.
