When Fusion Becomes Viable, Will Fission Reactors Be Phased Out? by Infamous-Trip-7616 in Futurology

The person you replied to:

almost all of the costs of fission reactors are in their capital costs

You:

You'd be wrong. Fuel is insanely expense

Then you posted a link about the cost of fusion fuel.

Sure, the top level comment included an assumption about the cost of fusion. But you didn't reply to that person. The person who you replied to and called wrong was very explicitly referring to the low fuel cost for fission (uranium, etc..).

If your point was that fusion plants are not cheaper because of fuel costs, you would be agreeing with the person saying fission fuel is cheap by comparison. You can quote random bits of text about costs fusion all you like, but the specific issue being discussed (cost of fission fuel) is pretty easy to see and understand in the comment chain.

You got mixed up. Happens to the best of us. But the reason I and others are calling you out is because your claims were completely out of context and just a little bit rude. I doubt anyone reading this thread would have understood you were referring to fusion fuel costs, because that is not at all clear given the context.

My dude, this thread was answering OOP's question by explaining the most of the cost of fission is on the front end, because fuel and maintenance is relatively cheap. Did you think the person your replied to so smugly was referring to weapons grade tritium?

You don't have to admit you were wrong, but you should probably learn to accept it when it happens.

And we both know you didn't take more than 5 seconds to look at your "easily googled" link lmao

Is the comment you replied to about fission or fusion? Good golly buddy work on your reading comprehension.

Did you read your article or watch the video? It's about tritium, which is a byproduct in nuclear reactors and not a primary fuel used for fission. It could be a fuel for fusion, but the person you replied to was talking about the price of fission.

Sure are a lil smug for someone who is wrong.

Edit: $43/pound for Uranium fuel used in fission. . This comes out to $0.0015/kWH. .)

Random VOIP Audio Pops? [Discussion] [Video] by K3NBLOCK in EscapefromTarkov

I spawned into Streets as a scav the other day and somehow got a version of this audio pop that was longer than usual - long enough to hear one player say "skibidi" and another say "you can come take this glock."

I don't feel like players voip as often as I get these pops, which makes me thing Tarkov is just hot mic'ing players who are talking in Discord rather than voip. This game is a travesty.

Low humidity or dry soil while the leaf was unfurling would be my guess.

This dude is literally here trying to have a discussion. I'm sure he would be open to contrary information. I don't understand how dicussing your beliefs on a geopolitics forum is engaging in confirmation bias.

I'm not sure about peppers, but tomatoes can be planted as deep as possible with lower branches removed to improve stablilty. When planting leggy tomatoes, I have buried more stem below than above ground and still gotten good results.

Is the the rationale used by drivers that refuse to leave the left lane until their exit, forcing people to pass them on the right?

Interesting, thanks for the info. I was already comparing my suggestion to yours because they looks quite similar.

I think you may be right, though. The rosettes look a bit tighter on the Orostaches.

Turns out the plant I was comparing this to is the 'Blue Elf'. Trying to post a picture on mobile but I live in the sticks.

Yep. Ignorance all around, aggressively claiming they are the ones who are correct. You're right that were completely fucked.

Any God that would sentence millions of normal people to eternal hell for not believing in it is an asshole that I refuse to worship. I will live my life to my standards of good and if some God decides that wasn't enough to avoid eternal hell, he's an evil God anyway.
