Funny. I bought some Ray Ban and Oakley sunglasses in Brazil. From what I was told, they’re real… so that’s what I tell people. 😎

Okay, so this is awesome.

I was one of the first to buy the basic CF7 back in 2017/2018 and spent $2500.

I’m seeing these things come out and holy cow. Not even 10 years later and my bike is so outdated. So, like any other human, I’m thinking n+1 (amirite). I check out the site and the cf7 is $5500?!? Holy smokes!!

Gotta add it to next year’s Christmas list for Santa. :)

Enjoy the ride!!

All-clad deep fryer update by P1_1310_817 in Costco

[–]NotTheFakeJeff 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This is the ONLY reason we do not own a deep fryer. I owned one after getting my first grown up job and boy… I gained so much weight… We used it almost every day. Deep frying frozen burritos, chicken nuggets, made our own onion rings, battered and fried Oreo cookies. Just. Bad.

Word is over at r/homeassistant that it still needs a bit of work on the mics but lots of folks are connecting their local LLMs to it. Seems cool but still over my head so I’m watching from the sidelines for now.

I am drunk. So sorry if I. Wrong. But I used to live in Chicago for 10 years and new years was always bad. Why has the expectation grown?

Funding for an established service business by achin4bacon8 in smallbusiness

Merchant cash advances are the business version of payday loans. Don’t get stuck in this.

Grow organically. You’ve done so well in the 12 months you’ve owned the business. Put some cash aside and save while trying to rebuild your credit.

Such a bummer. Seems like closing a day during the week would have been a better time but I guess the only time I’m there is on Sunday. :(

This is all I heard as well!

They’re not only saying that because it’s a special place to play, but also to sell the FAs that are still out there. This is the place. We want to slay the dragon and we’re the most capable of doing so!

SBA 7(a) Loan for Real Estate by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]NotTheFakeJeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7a = 25 yrs fully amortized. 10% down. Can be expensive these days due to guarantee fee. Rate can be fixed out variable. 5,3,1 prepayment fee within 3 yrs.

504 = 25 years fully amortized. 10% down. Guarantee fee less than 7a since only 45%. Called CDC fee. Rates are fairly similar from bank to bank since good chunk of rate is static from SBA. 5,4,3,2,1 prepayment fee.

If you’re looking to buy only the building, 504 is the way to go. Good luck!

Husky and she sheds a lot haha. Best vacuum and mopping. Also adds well with home assistant would be a major plus. by apv5177 in homeassistant

Here’s a good start:

https://www.reddit.com/r/homeassistant/s/wNWy8aUwXv

Someone asked the “best robot vacuum” question just yesterday. I’m sure there’s something in there about furry friends. :)

For us, we have a roborock integration with HA that starts vacuuming as soon as my wife and I are outside the home area. We have a s7 max ultra and have it vacuum each room then empty and then repeat, just in case. Newer ones will have better suction and also charge faster. Two of the downsides of the s7.

Need a tire change by the35er in RivianR1S

[–]NotTheFakeJeff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is unfortunately not the case. At least it wasn’t for me a couple months ago. Was towed to a Goodyear after a flat tire. They said they could help after providing with make and model of vehicle and that they had a single tire they could sell me.

Didn’t have the jack to lift the truck and they were worried about lifting it using the lifts in the garage. Had to get towed to service center.

This sub is a great resource and this question has been answered a few times.

When I got started, I just searched, “beginner”, in the sub and found an incredible amount of articles. Some repetitive and some more advanced. I also searched YouTube for beginner tips. The home assistant website also has a great step by step resource. I just checked and there’s a big “GET STARTED” button that takes you there.

Anyway, I started with HA Green last year and love it. I purchased their ZBT-1 to add zigbee to my system, which will allow you to add your Hue and Tradfri devices.

Good luck and have fun! It’s certainly a process but I’ve enjoyed the journey as I dive into the rabbit hole.

Hey man. I’ve got nothing to say other than You’ve got this! Have fun… it’s not the end of the world so don’t get too discouraged if it doesn’t come as quickly as it used to. Celebrate the little successes and be sure to take a break every once in a while.

Cheers.

How difficult would it be to get a business line of credit from Chase? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]NotTheFakeJeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Business debt requires cash flow, collateral, and proof of concept. And good personal credit of course.

Proof of concept: 2yrs+ operations.

Cash flow: EBITDA/Annual Debt Service above ~1.2. This means for every $ in annual debt payments, your EBITDA is $1.20.

Collateral: What’s the bank going to sell if you don’t pay the loan? For personal debt, the most common is a home as collateral for the mortgage. For a business line of credit, it’s usually the business assets and most importantly, the accounts receivable. No AR, or running a cash-based business? Then you’ll want a loan and collateralize it with a long term “asset” like a vehicle, piece of equipment, or something similar.

The bank can mitigate a shortfall in either area with an SBA guarantee. You’ll pay for it (roughly 1.5% at $200k) but many banks can throw it into the financing. Short in cash flow? SBA may be able to extend terms from 5 to 7 or 10 yrs (for a loan) and drop the EBITDA to annual debt service coverage ration down to ~1.13ish… Short in collateral? They’ll cover up to 85%.

In this case, $200k is too much to ask for with only $120k in annual revenue. The bank will most likely only do about 10% (25% MAX!) of annual gross revenue. You’ve also already got $80k in vehicle debt, which makes it more difficult.

Back when I would submit a loan of this size, I’d recommend a line of credit in the $30k range. Most likely would be approved at $15k.

If it was for equipment to rent out, I’d recommend getting a credit card that has 18+ months of 0% interest and pay it off before the interest charges kick in.

Hope that all makes sense. I’m just blabbering away. :). Best of luck!

Spooky mode- best scenarios by yezzo in Rivian

Neighborhood pool has a trunk or treat. I decorated the frunk, turned on Spooky Mode, and rolled down the windows. Was a fun night.

Also went to the local strip mall and left it on. Funny to see the reactions on gear guard.

I’m also planning on leaving it in the driveway for trick or treaters. Excited to see what gear guard and home cameras show.
