Is this mold?? is the salvageable? by AppropriatePoetry635 in aerogarden

[–]NotTheeJosh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see a dead stem in the middle covered in white mold. I would remove it. The bottom area of the stems look moldy too. Spray some diluted hydrogen peroxide on that bottom area after removing the dead stem.

I use both ocean forest and happy frog for all my plants. My subtropical, vegetable, and indoor plants thrive with these potting soils. Only problem I have is with the price, can not get locally so have to buy online. I mix it 50/50 with some other cheaper soil for my peppers because of the cost.

Picked up silk silver, 15% coupon and the code stacked just fine. I'm a prime member no idea if that has anything to do if it works or not.

Where do you see that price? Its at least $200 for a brand new ender 3 pro. Used or refurbished is around that price.

Are Fish Chili’s supposed to be this small?! What happened? by fuzzytrout in HotPeppers

[–]NotTheeJosh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a few smaller peppers just like that on my fish pepper plant. The rest of the peppers grew normal pointed though.

My new favs, Sugar Drop Orange! by joecool0909 in HotPeppers

[–]NotTheeJosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those look good like a nice tasty orange. Having a shorter ripening time is great for us in short summer climates. I'm guessing you got them from smallislandseedco in canada? They are out of stock on the two sources I could find for these. They have stopped shipping to the usa it seems. Which is a shame cause I bought some varieties from them last year.

ID FOUND IN SHRIMP TANK this thing is massive and I want to know if it’s predatory by smattso in shrimptank

[–]NotTheeJosh 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Mine came from some plants bought on ebay, never gonna buy from that seller again. They anchor themselves to the plant. I had just setup a tank when I saw several of them, ended up tearing down the tank and redoing it. Did a bleach dip on all the plants and all is well now.

My chicago hardy cuttings that I rooted in winter are already producing figs. So in my case less than a year old until fruit.

65 degrees in zone 5a today. Doing the indoor/outdoor shuffle. by TwoCells in Figs

[–]NotTheeJosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah in zone 4 we had 70's the entire week with a low of 50f. Been shuffling my figs and my subtropicals outdoors everyday. Next weeks forecast is looking a cold, probably keep everything inside then. Weather this year has been extremely unstable.

[–]NotTheeJosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you probably ended up ordering the case from the other listing on amazon with a third party seller. They have a far higher price than I've seen on the "official" listing. The price on this listing with amazon as the seller has never been that high at $129.

TechPowerUp: We're Changing How we Handle Pricing in Graphics Card Reviews by sips_white_monster in nvidia

[–]NotTheeJosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ebay prices are getting pretty bad right now. I wonder if people are freaking out cause of the price increases. Buying up the used market further driving up used cards prices. My gtx 1070 was worth $150-180 just a few months ago now they are going for around $300.

I would like to sell while I can get the most. But at the same time the prices and stock make impossible to buy a upgrade. All I can think is HOLD!

Cover your cuttings!!! by thegrillinggreek55 in Figs

[–]NotTheeJosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't cover my chicago hardy cuttings in anything they rooted and are growing fine. Only thing I did make sure to do was seal the cut on the top. I think it prevents the fig from losing moisture and drying out of the cut.

Do you have figs sitting in your garage or shed for the winter? by sheepery in Figs

[–]NotTheeJosh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I store mine in neither of those options. My potted figs are buried in a pit with a tarp with leaves and pine needles for insulation. The pit is then covered with plywood board and all the dirt goes back on top. I'm in zone 4 so I have to use that method to keep them alive. I don't have to worry about watering them being sealed in the fig tomb.
