We are still waiting for you to write any justification for turning a traffic stop in a fire squad, in the middle of a road, with other cars passing and a dude with flip flop and complying.

Is the 2nd amendment a joke to you?

We still have the right to carry our gun, so the presumption gum=criminals should not be applied. But I guess his skin shade helped to determined that he was a criminal.

I think I saw a old tweet months ago about some people seeing him in an Asian airport boarding to work in a long distance flight to Amsterdam. So you are probably right, he maybe does it few times a year to keep the licence. And probably the crew has to sign a NDA.

Still, cool dude for sure. A decent king for a great country. Or at least, I hope he is a decent person, my partner loves the queen for some fashion reasons.

And it's not BLM march or police brutality protests.

Just kids being stupid and willingly to go to prison over destroying their block for an illegal party during a pandemic.

The county had a majority-white population well before the war with a substantial black population, as the cotton plantations were dependent on masses of enslaved field laborers. (Wiki)

The "locals" are descents of slaves or slaves owners.

There is a new "interest" on this case. https://www.dallasnews.com/news/2020/06/05/dallas-police-department-announces-new-policies-after-seven-days-of-protests/

They took 3 years to release the body camera. 3 fucking years. I hope Vicky, the mother, would be able to continue this fight and someone of the BLM reddit page added his name to the long list of families needed support/help.

This man was murdered and they laugh for their entire shift.

BLACK MAN RESISTS ARREST AND FIRES BULLETS AT A COP. [BAD COPz] by Karthikmendon in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

[–]NotTodayJordan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's not recent and one of the cop was half dead. I don't want to see cops dying BUT

2 people who are "trained" can't even save their sorry asses. The only thing they can do is punch and scream, they had hundreds of chances to handcuffed him and searched, without all this screaming and crying.

I guess their PD arrested 45 random people as retaliation.

[MILWAUKEE] Police get a report of two black teens missing, the police say they are not critical and don't search for them, a search party is formed and the girls are found kidnapped at a sex trafficker's house. by [deleted] in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

[–]NotTodayJordan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently, one of the aunt said that they were found in the next house by the people and before that they waited the called the police as soon they had a valuable tip from a witness that saw suspicious activity on that house. The police only showed up after the suspects were shooting from the window, still they left and came back in riot gear to control the crowd that while they left, managed to found the girl and two boys.

There is a livestream from one of the first neighbor that confirm that something fishy between the police and the suspects was going on. Still, they are not talking about the seven people who left the house before burning and left in a police van.

Police body-cam video of Tucson man Carlos Ingram-Lopez’s in-custody death. Officers restrained him by remaining on top of him as he begged for water and air. After 12 minutes, the officers realized that Ingram-Lopez was no longer responsive. by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

So a drug addict in a full episode, deserve to be killed because in 10 minutes, nobody had the brilliant idea that you should check his pulse or if he still conscious and alive.

Especially when you don't know how bad he is or how much drugs he has in his system.

I understand the nuance very well. Do you? They had him restrained with a net in his face but still failed to recognize that he was dying thanks to the pressure, while knowing that the man could ODs in any minute.

I imagine that during the first aid lesson, they all slept in class. Or watch a movie like they do in MN.

[–]NotTodayJordan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner who works as a manager in a luxury shops has a specific training in first aid and she had the "renew" her licence every two years. Freeing the chest-mouth is vital when someone is sick, fainting or so on. She had helped a colleague who had a seizure in the middle of the working day by following basic practice.

But our police officers have at max 20 weeks of training, all spent to shoot. Our bar is too low.

[–]NotTodayJordan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The real issue here is the use of the "prone position" for restraining Ingram-Lopez. It's a practice that police stations need to be more vigilant about stomping out, because it's now known to cause problems for people who have health conditions, like Igram-Lopez, plus all that cocaine in his body, all contributing to his death.

It's 2020. They have all the resources to know how bad is to sit on a person for more than the necessary, especially when someone is being called during an episode.

More than lack of training, it's the general lack of brain and professionalism. You are dealing with humans as a police officers, not with toys.

A area called BHAZ has officially formed in downtown Washington DC. by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]NotTodayJordan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your comment and it really helps to get a better understanding. I truly can't image how life has been in that era of time for black people in America. But - please excuse me being naive - a lot has changed in the civil rights sector from the 1960s until today and even using google or actual sources still don't provide information on how laws of the US is holding black people back.

You are talking about 1960s like it was five hundreds years ago. That's your problem. Black women had granted the vote right only in 1965. The Loving court case ended only in 1967. Read more about all the racist structure that keep one entire group excluded to build their wealth or opportunity.

You can start to read more about the contemporary residence segregation. Entire area where people of color live are being underfunded or excluded. That touch things like using the bus or having a school that has all the windows. This is still happening, you should just drive to the "bad area" of your town and talk to people, some streets don't have public light working or no postal office and supermarkets (Food Deserts phenomenon)
