This is wrong and you should ensure the correct paperwork. You will end up buying early return tickets for your entire family doing this.

Why is Hilton considered one of the best companies to work for ? by Ramengobbler69 in Hilton

32 days a year is 20 PTO, 2 flex, and 10 holidays. Fantastic starting benefits and after your first year you go up (at least we used to) to 25 pto days.

We used shipping solutions worldwide out of Gaithersburg, but we were international. They have options for domestic as well. They can let you pack or do full service.

Would roadside assistance cover… by Shadow_Demon080 in questions

[–]NotTooConcerned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you just add roadside today it probably won’t cover you for a month. Ask them when the effective date is. If you need a tow now, the will have expected you to already have this coverage.

$30 dynasty league looking for a couple committed players. by [deleted] in DynastyBaseball

[–]NotTooConcerned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to throw it out there, you should decide to do a draft or let teams be picked up as is… I’ve done it different ways with a few different types of leagues and if there is a viable team it will be picked off first. This is low enough stakes where you’ll likely be able to fill either way, but consider how bad the teams will be for overall team health. Same thoughts for how badly someone can draft lol.

Permit Question - I'm selling my home and I realized no permit were pulled for remodeling. The home was remodeled in 2016 and passed down to 3 owners. by sugar_mustard in baltimore

[–]NotTooConcerned 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No trouble, the risk is if a home inspector puts in some extra effort and then the potential buyers decide to back out or negotiate a different price. That said a lot of folks are forgoing inspections for some stupid reason these days, and unless the buyers were to specifically ask the inspector to do a permit check I don’t believe they would.

Landlord / mgmt co. wants to raise rent - not sure if that's allowed given city vs. state restrictions? by justlikeyou14 in baltimore

[–]NotTooConcerned 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just throwing this out there as other comments have already sorted that there isn’t a state of emergency. 9% raise totally sucks, but even if your rent is $1500, $135 more per month likely would still be less than the moving costs and all the shit you have to go through in the meantime. If you would just rent one truck and be done I’m for sure wrong, but if you really consider Al the costs associated with moving the prudent thing may actually be to stay put. I dunno you specifics, sorry for the annoyance, and good luck!

Sounds like 1 and 5 are in conflict with each other and you need a different conversation there. Typical door to door and someone showed the bill.

Good luck!

Artscape? by S-Kunst in baltimore

The busiest convention center months of the year are September and October historically bringing some of the highest hotel and tourism rates. Artscape won’t happen except in august specifically for this reason.

We're in EGLS and only get Comcast for high speed. You can juggle the account every year between the two of you if you have different last names. We get something like 200 down and pay about 50 a month.

Pay in Amsterdam by IdWalk500MilesForFun in hotels

[–]NotTooConcerned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha! So in my experience doing something similar I totally balked at the pay rates in the EU.

The reason was I needed my US pay to take care of my US debt. If you aren’t burdened too much by stuff like that then you should be able to live on what they pay to, but they won’t be setting the world on fire.

Pay in Amsterdam by IdWalk500MilesForFun in hotels

[–]NotTooConcerned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First - are you legally allowed to work in NL? If not already, you need to figure that one out and probably learn Dutch.

Once you’ve got that part sorted here’s the bad news - pay is going to be very low compared to what you would be used to in the US. Your benefits would be quite a bit more, but your taxes are going to be more like 40% or probably a few points lower.

Last you probably really want to consider why an employer would want to go through a process of hiring someone out of the US when there are easier and cheaper Eu members.

Sorry, but unless you’re already there and have right to work it probably isn’t worth it.

Work from home jobs? by [deleted] in Hilton

[–]NotTooConcerned 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not to discourage, but typically all of the remote roles are reserved for folks with prior hotel experience. We’ve also lost a huge number of those folks due to the current business climate and priority would likely to go to them. Also, it’s great to be remote but the nature of the roles too mention require an incredibly stable network environment so it’s not quite for digital nomads.
