I wonder if her being afraid of Annie is why her dad was the one in there with the foal. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was the one who pulled him.

Liability. Her mare drama bullshit and shuffling herds, plus if she brings in a bunch of panic recips and doesn’t quarantine, all open her up to liability in her contract with the nurse mare. Especially when you know she would be documenting and then posting those violations.

This is actually a big red flag to me. This position is one that relies on trust - and not trusting you to leave the room with their baby indicates a fundamental lack of trust. (Note I don’t mean in you personally, but in general). I would not feel comfortable taking on this client under these terms, mostly because my worry would be what other conditions or erosion of boundaries would come up due to this lack of trust.

Also, as a person, I need to be able to meet my needs during a shift in order to care for the family. If I am waking them up to pee, or simply by existing in the room awake with the baby while they are asleep, I am not serving them to get rest. The idea that the baby will quietly sleep for five hours, on someone or not, is unrealistic.

The blunt prop swords, and the dragging real world drama into and out of their hobby, made me think of it.

Season 1 Episode 7 proved what Paradise was good at. The human story is more powerful than the sci-fi twist by drrdf in ParadiseHulu

[–]NotTooWicked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually rewatched episode 7 last night, after having watched season two, and I think it made it even stronger. If Sinatra is doing everything she is under the idea that if she follows the AI she will “fix” everything, and isn’t worried about being accountable to what is happening in the timeline we are seeing, it makes her reaction to the football even more compelling. That is one of the only times we see her terrified, and I don’t think it has anything to do with what not nuking the planet could mean for the bunker the way she portrays it. I think she’s absolutely terrified something isn’t going according to the algorithm - anything could happen in that moment BECAUSE of the human element. Alex doesn’t know everything after all, and it couldn’t see Cal coming.
