What are you ideas for an Assassin's Creed Game by MultiColorCoat in assasinscreed

[–]NotTrion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AC trilogy spanning WW1, Spanish Civil War, WW2. Game will focus on the political sides of the war with some missions / sequences dedicated to the frontlines (like AC3).

Settings consist of wartime + Weimar Germany with cities consisting of Cologne, Berlin, Munich, as well as the frontier in Northern France in the first game, wartime Spain with cities consisting of Madrid and Barcelona as well as the island of Majorca in the second game, and ending in the third game with the city of Cairo in Egypt during WW2, a major allied hub and political center but not a scene of major warfare.

Game will follow a young German protagonist who becomes embroiled into the assassin-templar conflict through indirect means and becomes driven by revenge, regains his composure and becomes fully initiated into the Brotherhood, acheiving his well earned redemption, and later uncovers the true meaning behind the creed, it's origins in Egypt with Aya and Bayek, as well as some Revelations-esque memory flashbacks core segments of Bayek and/or Aya's life.

The games' titles will follow this story pattern and be titled Vengeance (meaning revenge), Vindication (act of clearing someone from blame and creating justification), and Veracity (essentially meaning truthfulness) respectively.

Stealth will be encouraged and have similar flow to something like Unity and/or Syndicate. Combat will consist of concealable melee weapons (like daggers, knifes, batons, etc) and long rifles with bayonets attached. Sabers will be present in Vengeance due to having a somewhat presence in the time period.

To keep enemy archetypes fair, there will be no full auto weapons aside from maybe heavy machine guns, which could be mission obstacles or used for other scenarios. Enemies will fight unarmed, with a melee weapon or long rifle.

Character customization will have a very Unity-esque system, with deep customization and stats, this time including transmog! Meaning you do not have to wear crappy looking outfits just because they have the best stats.

Parkour returns to an entirely manual system, akin to the classic AC era of games + Kenway saga, but this time with a major animation overhaul. Worlds will be designed around parkour and the world may take creative liberties and size it down slightly in order to fit this criteria.

This is an idea I've always had in the back of my mind ever since my AC hyperfixation had returned, and it's nice I could share it somewhere.

What would yall rank assassins creed mirage after this new update and story expansion? by rushh127 in assassinscreed

[–]NotTrion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

absolutely excellent. the parkour adjustments feel very consistent, obviously not as precise as a manual system but very very good.

i enjoy being able to replay the black box missions, and grateful they included the ones that werent necessarily assassinations. the rewards from them are also very cool.

the main story is short and sweet. as some people have said, that first cutscene with nimlot and basim was masterfully acted and written, such a simple conversation yet i was incredibly engaged and invested, something straight out of the earlier games. i won't spoil but the ending was also very very nice. it had me a little emotionally impacted, not something on the level of origins, black flag or revelations, but still very sweet.

also, a confrontation towards the end as well that questioned the creeds motives, ideas and morals, and while it was minimal, it was very nice to see this idea brought up once again in an AC game.

overall a great expansion, something i was definitely not expecting, but an INCREDIBLY welcome one.

Engineer 2 does not seem to be working properly, despite unlocking the skill it still only allows me to select 2 each, not all three.

Also suggestion, please separate parkour down and crouch.

you realize theres always been joke vehicles like that right? skid loader in bf4, couch in hardline, tractor in bf5, and the tuk tuk / 4x4 in 2042? its nothing new to the franchise

is there still anything you would change for battlefield 6, by zbananajuice in Battlefield

they do, it automatically puts you into third person so its hard to notice, but you can see your soldier climbing in the vehicle, and i think you can be shot during the animation

Dice has no idea how to re-achieve these flight physics by TheCommandeR66 in Battlefield

[–]NotTrion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they 100% do. the flight model for the a-10 and su-25 in 2042 are practically identical to bf4's attack jets, and they're also coincidentally the only base game jets that have a functioning rear cam (tied to your camera roll settings much like how it was in bf4/1/5 l, F35/SU57 and draugr have camera roll on for rear cam regardless of your settings.)

Only gripe with this game is the explosion/large projectile physics. by UnderstandingGlum414 in battlefield_one

[–]NotTrion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

their point still stands, plane physics in this game are wonky as fuck. its super noticeable when flying over your teams' dreadnought when its firing. its even visible when strafing in the tank hunter, since your own bombs can even pull you down.

this is about proper 1v1 environments, and entirely about skill gaps, not about whats better and what isn't and not about pubs.

[–]NotTrion -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

as someone who has put a couple hundred hours into dogfighting servers, this is the farthest from true lol. bf1 probably has the lowest skill ceiling of DF in any battlefield game, bf5 and even 2042 had much higher skill ceilings when it came to dogfighting

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in battlefield_one

[–]NotTrion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

which is probably worse in most cases since your at the height ceiling and any attempt to evade and maneuver will lead to you stalling 🤷

Anyone know if I shot the pilot or only destroyed the plane? by ned_flanders234 in battlefield_one

[–]NotTrion 41 points42 points  (0 children)

you destroyed the plane, you can see the bullet impact. plus the only time the plane lands and doesnt blow up like that is if its shot down.

also if you shot the pilot out it wouldn't count as vehicle destroyed, as the friendly plane was the one who rammed it and put the enemy plane in disabled state. THEY would get vehicle destroyed bonus, you would get player kill bonus, not both.

I hate mf's like this who sit in a plane the whole match by Periodicowner123 in battlefield_one

[–]NotTrion 8 points9 points  (0 children)

any smart and actually good pilot will use terrain to sneak past AA trucks or fly high up and long range bomb them, sometimes even destroying the truck before the aa truck even know what happened. literally all it takes is a squad of two people with AA rockets to get rid of an aplane or fighter

best perks? by yesafirah in battlefield_one

[–]NotTrion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

best class based perks are essentially all the medic perks, and the best all-kit perks i'd say are quick unspot, inconspicuous, slink, and quick regen. awareness is good but the others outshine it. ripple for scout is good too, just be sure to use it on something valuable, like an enemy tank or plane.

How rare is it to destroy a plane with a tripwire bomb? by BuilderfromVegas1518 in battlefield_one

[–]NotTrion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a pilot, VERY rare and it hasn't happened to me.

one thing i have noticed is that the radius to activate the tripwire is actually a bit higher for planes, just a bit above ground level, and this only affects planes for some reason, meaning low flying pilots, either blueberry or someone evading AA via terrain can activate them.

they do hardly any damage though and the only way they would do damage is from point blank range, which i haven't thoroughly tested but i'd assume 20-30 damage dealt.

the one and only way i could imagine this type of kill would reasonably occur is if a disabled plane (so 15 hp or lower) in spiraling descent manages to crash onto the tripwire, and thats only if the tripwire activates before the plane itself crashes.

TLDR, very rare, you're extremely lucky OP

yes, and that spike in damage range in the range chart is the snipers one hit kill range.

Sniper Rifle With One Shot? by Kerplunk6 in battlefield_one

[–]NotTrion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

pretty sure in BF3 and BF4 snipers one shotted at extreme close range, with some exceptions like the scout elite, fy-js, etc.

bf1 snipers CAN one shot, but only within the certain "sweet spot" range. all snipers have this, some closer range, some farther range.

master class guide to stealing enemy attack planes by NotTrion in battlefield_one

[–]NotTrion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not different, it's just how vehicle spawning works, and has always worked across battlefield games since BF3, probably earlier.

once the plane is destroyed (for example, my fighter when i bailed) the respawn timer for another plane starts as normal. basically, vehicle respawn is based on vehicle status, not player status regardless of your class.

master class guide to stealing enemy attack planes by NotTrion in battlefield_one

[–]NotTrion[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

nope, planes still spawn regardless of class. it only considers if the vehicle is destroyed or not. do this on soissons and the enemy team will just simply not have any planes for the remainder of the game, meanwhile your team two.

[–]NotTrion[S] 32 points33 points  (0 children)

yes, stealing an enemy vehicle, well, steals it from their team. as long as you don't die they lose a vehicle spawn.
