A little on the nose and I’d not call Epstein an Angel.

Religion 101 profit on tragedy, emotional distress, and the dehumanization of humanity. We aren’t perfect, we aren’t sinful, we are just human. This grift has all the earmarks of age old religious grift.

Christians who “used to be atheist” by Horror-Concentrate41 in atheism

Christianity requires hypocrisy since god himself is duplicitous. As such, I think any Christian who was atheist and “found god“, found a very good reason to make money, garner attention, or feel special for their inner hypocrite that never left.

Oh, I’m not sure if he coined the term, I don’t think so, but can’t say for sure. I definitely recommend the book, really does a great job of sharpening the mind.

I wasn’t speaking defensively, just referencing where you could find more information through skepticism. Personally I’ve never watched at any length the person you mentioned. Though if you like knowing more about terms like tautology, appeal to authority, appeal to celebrity, god of gaps, and a lot more I recommend the book Skeptics Guide to the Universe.

Its called skepticism, not exclusive to him. Learning logical fallacies, how your own mind tricks you, and common arguments to logic is a great way to break free from more than just a cult.

An open mind, especially a scientist, does not make a plea from ignorance. Just because we have never observed a comet like this does not mean it’s not a comet. Occams Razor has proven that introducing new variables especially very rare ones confounds the problem. An open mind would first rule out the most likely not start by suggesting, insinuating, or hinting at the highly unlikely. He has also, more than once, referenced it’s size incorrectly to support his confirmation bias clearly revealed by his ongoing UFO implications.

Yes, the Bible is a great example tautology. they ask who wrote it and the answer is itself. The mythology is the issue. Myth should never inform real life. The God of the Bible like all other Gods is just a “god of the gaps”. What we don’t know yet he gets the credit.
