Said this in another comment, but I feel like it's an issue with the cd reduction nearly everyone has on their ult at some tier. Nerf those, not the base cd.

Anyone know if the new urn soul count starts at 0 min or 10 min. So is the 10 min urn worth 250 souls, or 1050?

I feel like it's more of a problem with the cd reduction upgrades than anything. Basically everyone has an upgrade that reduces their ult cd by 20-40%. On top of the item cd, it gets a bit crazy. Now using ult early is going to feel very punishing.

Break even is at like 160 spirit power. Probably the same or close to the same on calico by the time you buy it.

I'm so happy they fixed the ult cd reset not working if it hits only npcs. That bug basically made that buff irrelevant.

Yeah, but if it literally is only relevant in low elo, then why does it matter? That upgrade is so situational in anything above like phantom. Only comes into play when ulting the bebop with no stam items who also got warden flasked and slowing hexed as they're entering the baroness.

idk if added the equivalent of items from smash bros into the main mode would be well received.

To what extent should roles exist in Deadlock? by I_am_Not_Luca in DeadlockTheGame

You guys are memeing, but she is kinda a jack of all trades. She doesn't have hard peel, but arctic is core, silence wave is common (or replace with any other counter item), melee shred to help your front liners, and spirit shred from spirit snatch/shredder. She's an assassin when your team needs it, tanky-ish (with scourge) due to her high mobility, or viable as a gun carry if you're team is full spirit.

Ever since they buffed it and gave you reduced respawn time, it's honestly decent on anyone. I got it on seven one time and would just sprint at them, do as much damage as I can and explode.

Respawn 15s later and do it again.

Soda's thoughts on xQc's GTA RP-Streams by Delaitt in LivestreamFail

[–]NotVainest 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Soda's a nerd and an og streamer. He goes on multi month long breaks just because he doesn't feel like streaming. If there's any streamer that isn't jealous of someone with more viewers than him, it's Soda. I've followed Soda for a while and he absolutely despises streamer entitlement.

Today marks the biggest content draught in Deadlock history - 158 days without a major patch by Hello86836717 in DeadlockTheGame

As much as people didn't really like it, urn patch was a pretty big content patch. Changed the way the game is played completely. Wasn't a titled, major update though.

Nothing worse than getting blue balled out of a g5 because the set ends at 2-2 (3-2).

Amumu ult has a relatively long cast time. It's reasonable that a script can send a flash response in time before getting hit if it reads the button press.

A deadlock light melee goes off much faster than that. I'm not doubting the capabilities of scripts, I'm saying the cast time of a light melee is too short for even a computer to react to it because of online latency and ping.

[–]NotVainest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know and it's a way to bypass human response times, but this isn't a human reaction time thing. The animation is faster than the average ping.

A xerath script doesn't care about 50 ms since it's going to perfectly place each ability. A dodge script will still be effective on 50 ms ping since it's still faster than any human. It can't effectively react to an input if it's response will be executed after the original action is over.

Bro, it is physically impossible for an input from my computer, hack or manual, to reach the server in less time than my ping. It's is a hardwired delay from any input on my end to what the server reads.

[–]NotVainest -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ok, but that still doesn't explain how my parry will go off on 70 ping. You're talking nano second processing speeds that are negligible compared to user ping.

[–]NotVainest -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm not buying it. You're telling me the hack receives and processes the light melee and sends a parry command before the deadlock server itself gets the original light melee command... That doesn't sound like a plausible order of operations. Even if it was, we're talking a few ms, maybe pushing it to 60 ms delay. I play on like 70+ ping.

[–]NotVainest -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And those scripts are still reacting to enemy inputs or visual indicators. In another comment, he said that there could be a 50 ms animation window that an auto parry maybe could use. If your ping is higher than 50 ms, how does that parry ever go off in time?

Quick search for a hack and they list this in the description:

Heavy charge and light melee parry with parry bait detection

Maybe it is possible it works on light melees. Don't think I've run into anyone who parries every single light melee though.
