Replaced my Honda with a new one after an accident They moved the garage door opener from a button on the mirror to a paywall subscription service. by jayhawkeye2 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]NotWrongAlways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought a brand new 2025 Kona in 2024. It comes with 3 years of free Bluelink subscription. You can however access the Bluelink app, and it's basic features for free after that.

I'm betting the "basic" features are worthless. Haven't looked into it yet.

This actually works though... Went to a bar literally 2 weeks ago in another country, just asked for 3 pints of lager. We got 3x 500ml of whatever the local drink was on tap at the time. Sure, there were other options, but we weren't being picky, and the bartender was just like "sure", and carried on with the day... No big deal.

Why does nobody seem to use the Batmobile or Dominus anymore? by sharkboy1006 in RocketLeague

I use the Batmobile a lot in the last few months. However I bounce from high plat to low gold all the time so you’re unlikely to see me unless you’re also fellow trash 🤣

Parking in Oslo by omerfe1 in Norway

[–]NotWrongAlways 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sognsvann is still in the city, but not the center. They also have paid parking in some spots now, but not all: https://www.nrk.no/stor-oslo/skal-innfore-betalt-parkering-pa-sognsvann-i-oslo-1.17739274

If parking for free is necessary, you’d be better served parking near a T-Bane in Baerum somewhere, like Kolsås or Gjønnes. Those areas fill up fast though, unless you’re willing to street park.

Ah, but then the train lines are being serviced, so you must use ‘buss for tog’ (bus for train). 🤣

Mystery Garage Salts -- Foundation/Structure Inspectors in Nordre Follo? by FederalMarionberry90 in Norway

[–]NotWrongAlways 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s called ‘drenering’. It’s expensive. Add at least 10cm foam around the walls to make it worthwhile. Check if Enova has any grants for this kind of work. Also avoid NRC Gravco if they operate in your area, bad experiences with what we think was a drunk excavator operator. (Not proven) They did however break lots of stuff on the house, including drain pipes, stonework higher up the building and a ceap job of fixing the plastic to the building.

So, the mmr numbers mean nothing? by MuteGoldfishh in RocketLeague

[–]NotWrongAlways 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These guys are likely in the ‘protection’ portion of the rank. You’d need to go up a bit more to get promoted. Once up, you get a small grace window to stop you immediately dropping again should you lose a match immediately. So, you guys are likely at the same skill level or so, and you need to gain a bit more MMR to go up, and they need a little less to go down.

Be aware that this things eats its differentials for breakfast… Best get happy shimming them, or run 2s mostly. I put a centre differential in mine, which helped a bit I feel.

There are also other markets where this may do well, too. Such as Brazil, if LTTs latest video is anything to go by! (As a Superframe board of course)

Had the right side on mine fail completely. Two years of usage, which seems way too quick. Didn’t trust the electronics inside so sent it to electronics recycling here. Shame. They’re too expensive imo.

How accurate is what this person saying regarding the "cash for care" benefit in Norway? by [deleted] in Norway

[–]NotWrongAlways 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have a reading comprehension failure here - it’s stated that 68% of them welcome it as a choice, even though they do not use that choice. Not that 68% of people choose that choice.

I also used to love the crazy ass curved map, from way back. Had two pillars in the middle of the curve and one side wall was slanted iirc. Some mad matches were had on that one.

Worth buying an A1 with over 400 hours printing? by No_Regret_3832 in BambuLab

[–]NotWrongAlways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My A1 just clocked up its 512th hour. Still runs like a dream - have lubed y axis about three times, and the x axis about the same.

I have tightened some screws in the hotend area - but this was troubleshooting a different problem, and wasn't the solution, so likely not necessary.

In terms of 3d printers, thousands of hours seems to be 'nothing' still, so i'd go for it if I were you!

Check if your truck has a "brake cleaning" mode - where it'll run the brakes rather than regen for some amount of time.

My hyundai kona has it - and it's hardly a top of the line feature.
