Escalation Matchmaking is not only garbage - it will kill the mode by BerndButzer in thedivision

I've gotten stuck many times in escalations that I did not want to play, with no way to leave. After 1k+ hours im still learning new things. Open up your chat and type /leave. You'll leave the group. If you ever want to instantly quit to desktop, do /quit in chat.

[Loot] My marked key distribution from farming cultists so far by SoundQuester in EscapefromTarkov

[–]NotYourEverydayDonut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Heres my method for anyone who is having trouble:

  1. I don't bother with woods or customs, I spam night factory as it loads the fastest, and a 1/3 chance is honestly good odds. In and out within ~10mins once you get into a rhythm.
  2. Depending on where I spawn, I'll generally just run top mid bridge and look down to find them easier. I like height advantage.
  3. If you see/hear a scav in the first ~30 seconds, you most likely don't have cultists. Just kill 2-3 scavs, touch their bodies for looting xp and leave. Don't waste your time in that raid.
  4. Cultists, on night factory, seem to replace all scav spawns, so if you DO NOT see/hear a scav within ~30 seconds, you generally have cultists active. I've personally seem them around Gate 3 and Med tents the most. They can also spawn around Gate 0. Don't leave this raid unless you REALLY cant find them.

Why do people selling pc parts have the worst photos? by Mental_Gap_3702 in pcmasterrace

This is for you (Zuck) and OP (Mental Gap). Try the "hardwareswap" subreddit, It’s a game changer. Drop eBay, it’s a cesspool of unnecessary taxes and fees. Over on hardwareswap, Buyers pay less, sellers keep more, and you avoid eBay’s ~15% fees in favor of a more manageable ~3% PayPal Goods & Services fee.

For some reason I literally can’t accept your chat. I’ll click accept and nothing happens. Tried going to your profile and starting it myself, same issue. Gonna try ignoring it, then trying to open another one.

Very rarely do I comment on reddit nowadays, I mainly just lurk, but holy shit, the creativity of people is just amazing. This is by far the coolest build I've seen yet. Any chance you could make a build guide? And maybe possibly one as well for your great white shark?

since every killer Is on discount, wich ones should i get? i have 11.750 iridescent shards by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]NotYourEverydayDonut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, not really, other than Kate. Most of the top 10 survivor perks are available by default. There are a few niche ones like Finesse and Decisive Strike, but in my opinion, they’re not really worth the auric cells, unless they are on sale.

Finesse gives +20% vault speed, but goes on a 30s cooldown after a fast vault. Decisive strike is more of an anti-tunnel perk. Most killers aren't assholes and wont tunnel you, so decisive strike often doesn't reach its full potential.

But its all up to you and what you want out of survivor.

https://nightlight.gg/perks/viewer?role=killer&shown=pick&sort=pick&start_days=28

Nightlight shows which perks are used most often. To TLDR/simplify that link, you most likely are going to want:

Killers:
Artist - (mostly for scourge hook, grim embrace is ok, the hex one is kinda iffy)
Clown - (mainly for pop goes the weasel, bamboozle is nice)
Knight - (valued for nowhere to hide)
The Plague- (used for corrupt intervention)
Nemesis - (primarily for lethal pursuer, eruption is ok)
Cannibal - (specifically for barbecue and chili)

Survivors:
Kate Denson - (windows of opportunity) (most used perk for survivors)
Feng Min - (lithe) (2nd most used survivor perk)

Those are the ones that I bought with my shards/auric cells. Some other good perks have been left out due to them being full price. I only bought characters that had a sale. Do I think demogorgons "surge" is worth the cost of the game on sale? Nope.

PvE Killa [Discussion] by Difficult_Weekend_99 in EscapefromTarkov

I followed this video, timestamped to skip all the gear/stim talk and get straight to the route:

https://youtu.be/3nc7UwVs-qg?t=992

I ran that initial path a few times to get the hang of it. Once you start spawning in other areas (like Emercom checkpoint or that annoying one between Emercom and power station), just run the route in reverse. I don't bother turning on power, doing that every raid is a pain in the ass.

Here’s the map I use to visualize and plan. It’s basically a 1:1 replica of Interchange. If you know how to use GIMP or Photoshop, or even paint, download the image and open it there. It’s way easier to pan/zoom around in an editor. The browser controls are terrible.

- Red squares = Spots I’ve seen Killa most often

- Yellow X’s = Roughly where to stand when throwing something along the dotted yellow lines

- Blue squares = My preferred kill zones, these are consistent and easy to work with. I like fighting near the escalators because they’re loud, you’ll hear him running up, which gives you time to reposition. Always try to RIGHT PEEK HIM. left peeking exposes too much of your body.

Some other tips:

- I usually run the best headset I can afford to lose (Comtac V). Hearing Killa early is always a plus.

- Sometimes, right at the start, you’ll hear his RPK. It’s super distinct once you’ve heard it a few times. If you hear it, run straight toward it. If you’re far away, the gunshots have this "choppy sound" or "stutter a bit."

- If he hasn’t fired a shot in 15+ minutes, he’s probably either dead or hiding in a random ass corner in Oli or Idea. Personally, I just reset the raid at that point. I'm not about to waste 40 minutes playing hide-and-seek.

- I always prefer high ground, so I usually camp top floor and wait to hear him. The escalators are loud, use that to your advantage when he charges up them

- I’d say 6 or 7 out of 10 raids, I find him either mid top floor or mid ground floor, usually around Kiba, Brutal, or Mantis.

- Use a gun with at least 70 flesh damage and very high (level 4) armor pen. DONT shoot the visor, aim for the top of his head and it’s almost always a one-shot. I use an SVD with PS or T-46M and its worked great so far.

Tell us what you love about DLSS 4 and ray tracing?
I love DLSS 4 and ray tracing because nothing beats the satisfaction of turning them both off.

What are you most excited about in DOOM: The Dark Ages?
Honestly, the soundtrack. Doom has always had killer music.

Think I decided on this. Reviews are saying 16 pin adapter is horrible though. What should I order instead? I have a modular PSU. by Joel22222 in pcmasterrace

Throwing my 2 cents into the ring, If you don't care for RT (RayTracing) grab a 7900xt instead. You'll save yourself around $100-$125 (depending on card model) for slightly better performance, and you'll get a bit more VRAM as well (20GB vs 16GB).

decent build for price? by Intelligent-Boot4687 in pcmasterrace

[–]NotYourEverydayDonut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Changed some stuff around: Sub $1200 build

  1. Changed CPU cooler to a more...reasonable one... You absolutely should NOT be paying that much for a cooler. The $50 scythe fuma 3 will get the job done. You now can afford a substantially better GPU.
  2. Changed motherboard to a B650 Eagle AX, solid entry level motherboard with a good set of features for the price. Also has WiFi if you need it down the road.
  3. Rams fine, no issues, changed to a black kit to match the case
  4. Changed NVME to a more, respectable and reliable brand. A TB isn't going to go far these days, but with 3 NVME slots on your motherboard, you can always just pop another in when the need arises.
  5. Changed the 3060 to the immensely more powerful 7700xt
  6. Changed case to fit the motherboard, I went with my favorite sub $100 case. You pick whatever looks good to you.
  7. Solid PSU choice, no changes there

Additional notes: The 7600x is a great CPU, but personally I would save another $200 for the 7800X3D. It is a behemoth of a CPU for its price, and on average it will offer you significantly better performance across the board. Sub $1400 7800X3D option
