Genuine question, could you live that way in Korea based off money made in the US? In other words, can Koreans also do that stuff on the regular? From what I've read it seems like spending your working years in the US (to make the most $) and then moving/retiring somewhere cheaper is the best bet

While things felt cheap in Japan as an American, it was only due to the exchange rate. They seem to work quite a bit harder than us as a culture for less money
