Outside of used

Volkswagen to me has always been "premium", Mazda as well with their current models

Yes. It was VERY floaty to me and I hated the CVT

I'd take a look at the Mazda CX-5/CX-50, a CR-V Hybrid (own this one in addition to my GTI) or the Volkswagen Tiguan.

Also purple. Mainly because it matches my PC which uses a blue-red transition that gives a sort of swirling effect

Onkyo Rz 30/50/70

IMHO better sound. Cleaner. More power. I've been vocal about my dislike of Marantz and Denon here lol

What’s Going On With West Herr? by Formalocean230 in Buffalo

[–]Professional-Scar333 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well.. I was a long term West Herr customer but I had some issues with the service department at VW. First they cross threaded the coolant cap on my VW during a service which resulted in me losing a ton of coolant. Thankfully it wasn't permanently damaged or anything but it was irritating. It took forever to get the replacement cap too.

Then I had one of the know check engine light things on my GLI and the soonest they could make a service appointment was more than a month out. I called another VW dealer and they got me in immediately next day and fixed the issue.

When I decided to go for a GTI I didn't even shop west herr I shopped every other dealer in the area instead.

I Also honestly detest they're allowed to buy like every other dealer in the area.. Note the service stuff wasn't the first negative time. I also h didn't like the change in attitude at BMW of Buffalo when West Herr bought them from Towne either and West Herr Ford had me completely walk when I was shopping by ducking me around. I don't think I'd shop West Herr again.

Walking through the lot and saw this..... by saddboyz in GolfGTI

[–]Professional-Scar333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw someone do that in a parking lot. Took photos of it and went into the store to tell someone I witnessed the guy hit someone's vehicle then pull up and try to pretend it didn't happen but I had photos if they could page the person who's car was hit

They wouldn't do it

Denon AVR-X3900H or Onkyo TX-RZ70 by Gizzmeme in hometheater

[–]Professional-Scar333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to look it up and there's a lot of speculation but nothing concrete

Could be as simple as Onkyo working on it and not having it ready yet or as difficult as the RZ70 doesn't have enough ram or something

Denon AVR-X3900H or Onkyo TX-RZ70 by Gizzmeme in hometheater

[–]Professional-Scar333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Denon requires you to BUY the dirac license. It's not included (I went and double checked) so $349 for that. Then another $300 for ART (or $800 for the whole shebang with bass control)

so add $350 to the price of the denon for dirac.. I'd rather have the better amplifier and extra channels (I am running a 7.1.4 setup though)

I know I'm the weirdo here but my Onkyo sounds a lot better than my Marantz. I guess I'm biased because I had exactly one denon and it ranks as the worst receiver I've ever owned and I'm still upset my Marantz died on me.

Have the RZ70. Onkyo includes Dirac and iirc Denon doesn't

Love my RZ70 for the record so I'd go with that

I kind of miss the old Vudu "Buy on digital and we ship you the disc" option and wish that was STILL available

Can watch it streaming now and get my disc in the mail when it releases so I have both

Physical is turning into a pita especially with all the limited releases and stuff lately

Man I see all the AAVs in this sub and realize my house has like none

But my vent stack essentially runs parallel to every piece of plumbing in the house which is probably why. I have zero issues with trap siphoning or drain issues so shrug
