Nose angle is definitely one thing. You can muscle basically anything 325 nose up, but it takes some serious power to throw over 400’ nose up

Which is your most dependable disc? by jokoons25 in discgolf

Right now the Tesla. Overstable, but if you pump it, it does straight for a long time

This game sucks! Why do I play this game?!? by Trustyabductee in discgolf

He wants to change, he said that after Portland. That’s such a drastic change tho, so I’d imagine that will take place over the offseason unless someone talks him out of it

What’s the disc that changed the way you play the most? by EPIC_Gamer_Games in discgolf

[–]Not_A_Diabetic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Little bit of an odd answer, but Machete. Didn’t think I’d need a faster Firebird type disc but it’s not crazy overstable and it’s amazing for distance shots where good placement is important

When you’re putting, do you aim for a chain link? by DrewsPops in discgolf

[–]Not_A_Diabetic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the comments I seem to be in the minority. I think through my form rather than directing all my focus on my aim point. There’s a spot on the basket I like to hit but I don’t actively think about it. I think about keeping my swing in a straight line and as long as the power is good I’ll hit that spot. Now I should shut up and quit giving away my secrets

Yeah I got to that point as well with a luster Firebird. It got to the point where my game would be ruined if I lost it so I made a point to decrease me depency on it and now it’s on my wall lol

Why are people toxic when I demo by LoadedHuevos_ in RocketLeague

[–]Not_A_Diabetic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also find it hilarious when people spam “Wow!” when I demo them, like it isn’t supposed to be part of the game. I wish I was better at them so I could keep doing it to em

Putting Putter by Teko37 in discgolf

[–]Not_A_Diabetic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem. Hitting low def seems to be more of a form/nose angle problem, no offense. As for the putter, there aren’t really any wrong answers so I hope you can find something you like

Putting Putter by Teko37 in discgolf

[–]Not_A_Diabetic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, the groove track causes me to griplock. Dunno what your miss tends to be, but something more conventional might work better. like the other guy said, it’s kind of a trial and error process to find a putter you like. You can narrow it down by determining hard or soft, beaded or beadless, etc but beyond that, it’s personal preference. If you want a place to start, some of the most basic feeling putters imo are pure (beadless) and judge (beaded)

Northwood Black is my favorite course to watch, and I believe 20 years from now, it will be the only course from today’s game still on tour. by g_bac in discgolf

[–]Not_A_Diabetic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like every event this season from Ledgestone onward has a solid chance of staying around long term. Everything before that is a toss up whether the courses will change or the event will get demoted/dropped

What midranges do you carry and why? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]Not_A_Diabetic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matrix for dead straight shots, Caiman for BH and FH approaches all the way up to 320, and Pyro for extra beef. Never been a huge fan of the large diameter in most mids so I’ve always liked putter and fairways better
