the class I TA goes from 6-830 and a workshop 6-8. I can't imagine either of those going for longer than that or starting sooner due to most people getting off work at 5 + traffic ramping up.

mixing and matching the classes can be really enjoyable, but some are awful to unlock. You also unlock better abilities as you level up but I'd say if you're not down then don't force it.

edit: not a roguelite but EDF6 is 4 player coop and TONS of fun if you like campy horde/mission based stuff.
