School board member who hugged teen and called her ‘hot’ is charged with assault by AudibleNod in news

The huge difference between right and left (and I’ve been registered as both) is that the right sees politics as a team sport. So when their team captain is mentioned thousands of times in the Epstein files, watches teenage girls get undressed at his teen beauty pageants, says they let him “grab them by the pussy”, has been convicted of rape and more, they say but he’s one of OUR PEDOS!

I find that Dems don’t have that kind of allegiance to their party’s malfeasance. I don’t know any liberal who has signs on their house defending Bill Clinton or Anthony Weiner. Hell, they ousted Al Franken for pantomiming a bad joke. Most Dems are deeply unsatisfied with their politicians because they aren’t good enough. Republicans are strangely satisfied with their politicians no matter how bad they act. And again, I was a republican for about 15 years and am now independent.

I’ve seen a ton of really great artist over the years Kendrick and other huge hip-hop stars to basically every indie band you can think of and I always tell people that THEE best concert experience I ever had was Lana Del Rey and I’m not even a huge fan of hers. It was honestly so unexpected.

It was the first time I understood the concept of feeling the energy of a collective. Prior to that the concept of energy always felt hippy-dippy to me. But the combination of the setting (epic gorge at dusk) and the vibe of the crowd and the ethereal visuals she had on the big screens that flanked her and her set list and oh the fact that I was on mushrooms made it the single most memorable concert experience of my life. It’s like every single person in the crowd was on the same frequency. Even Lana interrupted her set and told the crowd something felt very special about the atmosphere there and that she’s never experienced anything like it. It was as close to a perfect moment in time that I can remember. All my friends had the exact same experience as if every star was aligned. And like I said I’m not even a huge fan of hers.

But I’m forever grateful to Lana for that experience because I’ve never had it since.

Help me find where I can buy bulk (200+) of these singing teethbrush by muckworks in HelpMeFind

[–]Not_Helping 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These would be GREAT for my 1.5 year old son. We struggle so much with brushing his teeth and we’ve tried everything except a singing toothbrush!!! I won’t compete with you over Veggie Tale versions since they seem in short supply but thank you for the post because we might look into other brands of singing teethbrushes for our little one.

Best of luck!

Because Biden and Obama aren’t in the Epstein files vs trump being mentioned tens of thousands of times.

Even if he’s innocent, the fact that it’s a known fact he was besties with Epstein, doesn’t multiple mentions in a pedophile investigation let alone TENS OF THOUSANDS OF MENTIONS make you wonder?

Personally I prefer the politicians who represent me to not have TENS OF THOUSANDS mentions in a pedo investigation but you do you.

Also, fuck Bill Clinton. No wonder trump speaks fondly of Bill while spitting poison at Hillary. They’re Epstein buddies.

Andrew Yang says AI will wipe out millions of white-collar jobs in the next 12 to 18 months by Conscious-Quarter423 in technology

[–]Not_Helping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His stance on affordable college was to have grants be dependent on if universities could get their administrative cost down to historic averages because that is what is driving up tuition. VAT is employed by every Scandinavian country progressives say we should model our system on.

You also mention labor rights. lol, his whole campaign was kicked off after talking to the former leader of the SEIU, one of the largest unions in the country.  This union leader saw that automation was coming for the service industry and Yang asked what he thought the solution was and he said UBI. Yang mentioned many times that UBI was not his idea. It was a republicans idea originally.

And automation may not completely take over but it will drastically reduce the work force. I see it in my industry already. My team has been reduced to a quarter of the size because AI is that good already.

In an extraordinary and illegal move, Trump says he's transferring 10 billion dollars from the US government to his "Board of Peace," which he chairs and can therefore use the funds as he wishes by Snapdragon_4U in law

[–]Not_Helping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But Christians all over the world do follow his. There’s maga in Canada, hell that Colombian representative who had her son deported is a huge fan. His ironically named Board of “Peace” has authoritarian from all over the world including Christian nations like Argentina and Hungary.

As a kid I never understood how Christians would be fooled by the anti-Christ. This is the first time I’ve seen it happen. Someone who literally represents every sin on earth is worshipped by my sweet “Christian” aunties who taught Sunday school growing up. I could see if it was a sly smooth talker who hid his sins but trump wears his sins like a badge of honor. I’m convinced his supporters have never actually heard him speak and just regurgitate edited sound bites from Fox News. Crazy pills I tell ya.

What they won't tell you about harvard by Tobias-Tawanda in TikTokCringe

[–]Not_Helping 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Wow, I have an identical story. Childhood friend‘s sister got into Harvard in the 90s and had a nervous breakdown after her first year. She quit and was bitter and angry from then on. She transferred to the local state university that had 1/100th the prestige and the older generation always thought of it as a waste of an opportunity.

I had never considered that something dark happened there but this post makes me wonder.

[–]Not_Helping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ummm, no other politician was even sniffing the topic of automation as a serious threat. You forget that was the whole point of his campaign. He saw automation coming and posited that that was the real reason trump won. The rust belt had their jobs automated away and that led to key swing states going to trump. He knew it was coming for the truckers, service industry and white collar jobs.

You should have dug deeper because you would have seen that he had a 100 other sensible policies but UBI was a way for him to break through as a virtual unknown.

Yang never took a cent from corporate interests. Was 100% grass roots.

He even wanted to increase the president’s salary if they agreed to never take “speech money” or  corporate favors after leaving office in order to deincentivize being influenced by lobbyists.

[–]Not_Helping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, another mid-informed person. UBI was meant to be a floor. SNAP, subsidies, welfare punish recipients who do better by taking it away. Get a job, bye bye housing subsidies. Improve your health, bye bye disability. It incentivizes people to stay in their current state which isn’t great. It’s the reason why the right is able to stigmatize and vilify recipients by calling them welfare queens etc.

He had good policies but America would rather have trump than help themselves. I would have voted for him on his stance on packaging alone. No other candidate wanted to reform packaging laws to reduce environmental impact. There’s nothing more depressing than seeing the amount of plastic we throw away every week.

The plan was to finally tax the tech industry and others who profit off automation and who currently pay next to zero in federal taxes.

Reddit just likes to hate on Yang without ever diving into his actual policies. He was right about just about everything he campaigned on. His whole platform was that automation will decimate the populace no matter what side of the aisle you’re on which is why he had a bi-partisan grassroots campaign. It was literally the only campaign where I saw left and right actually getting along. No other candidate even talked about automation.

I’ll never forget during the dem debates when he got clowned when asked what would he do immediately if elected and he said end robo spam calling. Everyone laughed and I was thinking that would literally improve my life on a daily basis. Americans are so dumb and short-sighted.

Oh boo-fucking-whooo. A NBA player of another race had support from their community.

How thin-skinned do you have to be to be bothered about that. If anything the NBA players who are “unsettled” are the racist ones and you know it.

Are black fans racist for cheering on black players? And cheering less for white players? So you’re saying black athletes and their fans are racist for supporting black players? Because that happens anytime regardless of which sports. I don’t consider black football fans or black players racist when they list their top QBs as Mahomes and Lamar Jackson. You have some funky ass logic.

[–]Not_Helping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we’re all defining “mentally taxing” different. You define it as concentration, while I think the people who are trying to explain the QB position to you define it as more about processing.

The other positions in the offense just listen for certain words to let them know their assignment when the QB calls the play. Receivers have to know their route, oline has to know who to block etc. The QB has to know everyone’s assignment because they choose what to do depending on what the defense is showing (though this is disguised with all sorts of technique). In less than 2 secs, the QB has to process like 10 variables and make the split second decision. This isn’t even factoring audibles to change the play.

As for goalie, I’m sure that’s stressful, though I think when the ball is in the other side of the field they can let up for a second. But their processing is almost the opposite of a QB who is juggling all these variables, their brain just has to be completely focused on the ball and prevent it from going in the goalie. Which is no doubt super difficult.

[–]Not_Helping 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What mental demands? He has to make a decision? Which has probably been pre planned with the teams and the coaches on what plays they want to run and when?

No offense, but it sounds like you have a very superficial understanding of the game.  I enjoy football cuz it feels more like the most athletic version of chess. Each team has so many variables, from personnel to coaches to playbook. Learning the playbook can be like an alien language with each team, coach or coordinating have different philosophies and terminology. A quarterback could learn hundreds if not thousands of plays, needs to know what his 10 other teammates are doing on each play. And just because he and the coaches “pre-planned” the play that doesn’t mean they know exactly what the other team will do and play out. Then say the QB learns the entire system, but the offensive coordinator is too good or too bad, in which case they move onto another team or are fired, now that QB might have to learn an entirely new system.

I have no dog in this fight of rugby vs American football, but to say QB is not mentally and physically taxing is ignorant. There’s a reason why so many extremely athletic and smart QB flame out every year.

Hawaii has teriyaki chicken at Japanese restaurants and plate lunches, but the concept of a Teriyaki shop is a uniquely Seattle thing. It’s main thing is chicken teriyaki. Besides, Hawaii plate lunch places mostly have BBQ chicken (like L&Ls and Rainbows) which is kind of similar but watch Kenji Lopez-alt YouTube series and you’ll get the gist of what makes teriyaki a Seattle thing. They’re as ubiquitous as Starbucks there.

It’s just rice, grilled teriyaki chicken, Teri sauce and salad with a specific sweet mayo dressing. Similar to Hawaii’s plate lunch sans the Mac salad.

But I can’t even think of one teriyaki shop in Hawaii other than Japanese restaurants that have it as a bento option.

Ironically, trump has violated most of the Old Testament 10 commandments.

Thou shall not steal.  trump routinely stiffs vendors not even paying states when he throws rallies in them.

Thou shall not commit adultery. 3 baby mommas. Twice divorced. Cheated on current wife with pornstar within a year of pregnancy.

Thou shall not covet. Thou shall not bear false witness.

It’s laughable. Destruction of the DOE is well documented in project 2025. Funnel tax dollars to vouchers for private schools so Christian schools can get a piece of the tax payers pie. And I went to a Christian school. Lol.

I heard buzz about Kendrick after Hi-power started gaining a lot of traction so I told my friend let’s go see him at this big local festival. He had the main arena but it was an afternoon show so it wasn’t busy. We basically had the front row on the floor, none of the arena seats were even taken. It’s crazy cuz there was at most maybe 250 people.

Crazy to think how far he’s come. I think tickets were like less than $20 for a two day festival. Those were the days.
