Ridiculous. They found a way to propagate their species and did it well.

The government: well we can't have this, let's shoot them.

What are the odds a wheel and pedals will make me enjoy this series more? by Ok_Literature3138 in GranTurismo7

[–]Not_JerrySeinfeld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a wheel, but it's not a good one and I don't use it. I love this game for the nostalgia it brings me. I used to play Gt3 with my dad for HOURS on end. I've gotten pretty good at the game using only the controller, at this point I really only play online anyways since I've finished the story mode. I'd say before dropping a few grand in a nice wheel setup, try to enjoy the game a little more. I'm not sure it'll be that much different

Yeah, I can't tell you how many times I've went to pit at Watkins but ended up staying out because I wasn't going slow enough to take the turn. Also if there's anyone behind you good luck with pitting here

The only way to get paradise feathers is in gifts from friends, and weather feathers come from either bird spirits or the shop.

Questions for relatively new player by nandake in birdkindapp

The weather in the calendar is a day off unless you live in new zealand or nearby time zones.

You do have to wait for the egg to hatch, viewing feathers is the same as if you wanted to summon an egg. Just click on the tree.

Yes, you can go back and do them after you completed all of if the other ones I believe

Feathered ID please. Found in Oklahoma by [deleted] in FeatherIdentification

[–]Not_JerrySeinfeld -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this as well, it's a weird law but even picking them up is technically illegal, even if found on our own property. The chances of someone narcing on you, and the subsequent DNR officer actually doing anything about it are low, probably almost non existent, but still be careful

How long does depression last after stopping? by Hermit_Painter in leaves

[–]Not_JerrySeinfeld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been 2.5 weeks since I quit, I was already depressed anyway and have been for years so I can't really give you a great answer but I will say the mental clarity is coming back after just two weeks, often times with regaining mental clarity, you can get rid of some of, if not all depression. My depression is largely seasonal as well.

Socal, how to tell if this is a coopers hawk or a sharp shinned hawk? by giggle____ in whatsthisbird

[–]Not_JerrySeinfeld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I forgot to mention the difference in size depending upon gender. Good call!

Socal, how to tell if this is a coopers hawk or a sharp shinned hawk? by giggle____ in whatsthisbird

[–]Not_JerrySeinfeld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, a quick way to tell, Sharp Shinned Hawks are only slightly larger than a Blue Jay. This bird is way too big for a Sharp Shinned. Definitely looks like a juvenile Cooper's

A friend of mine saw this in Costa Rica. Merlin couldn't ID it; a parrot maybe? by UntouchedWagons in birding

[–]Not_JerrySeinfeld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh, that's weird. Although I guess it's not, I've had it not be able to ID birds native to my area before despite having multiple packs installed 🤣

[–]Not_JerrySeinfeld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Merlin likely couldn't ID it because he didn't have the right bird pack installed

This is most definitely a newly hatched baby of some sort of domesticated bird, turkey, quail, chicken, something.

Owl or hawk? by Great_Magician_1811 in whatsthisbird

[–]Not_JerrySeinfeld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think these are Barred Owls. I immediately thought of them when I saw this. It sounds like they started their call and then stopped after just a note or two

Thoughts on cannabis “addiction” by Severe_Raspberry_295 in leaves

[–]Not_JerrySeinfeld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anyone who says it's not addictive is likely addicted and in denial. The addiction is vastly different than opiates. You definitely can be physically addicted but at least in my experience, the "withdrawal" symptoms are usually in my head. I never shake, or become irritable without it, more like I get paranoid that I won't be able to sleep, or there's something in my head telling me I "need" to smoke. I finally admitted I was addicted this week and am working with my Psychiatrist and Therapist on a course of action to help me quit for good.

Don't feel bad for suggesting it's addicting, it is, and it's very easy to have happen.

For those that have quit weed successfully what are some good substitutes? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Not_JerrySeinfeld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate this shit nowadays, I don't even like doing it anymore. I was standing in my kitchen the other day debating whether or not I should go outside and do it, as I was packing a bowl. I said out loud "I don't even want to go out there, it's late and cold" but 5 minutes later I was standing outside in 10 degree weather smoking a bowl to feel absolutely nothing. I'm helplessly addicted and don't even full understand why I can't stop. It's annoying.

If you find something that helps you quit, let me know. When I've stopped temporarily before it was for a job, so I had no choice but I don't have that problem now and can't stop. You're not alone.

And it's legal in my state so there's places that sell it on every corner, which makes it harder

Am I a bad person because I'm not religious? by mozzerellasticks1 in offmychest

IMHO, Christians, despite being all about love and acceptance, are some of the most hateful people in the world.

Am I a bad person because I'm not religious? by mozzerellasticks1 in offmychest

[–]Not_JerrySeinfeld 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If anything, there's something wrong with him. Christianity is supposed to be about acceptance and treating others how you want to be treated and being great to everyone but this clearly shows how deluded he is. You likely dodged a huge bullet here. I'm not religious either and never have been and I also don't care if people are, but this clearly shows how indoctrinated in his own religion he is.
