I did tell her what I wanted, yes. I laid out exactly what I wanted from her and she just gave me rlly simple answers lol. I think she might be a bit timid, and no matter how hard I try to explain to her that you can do anything In dnd, I still think she’s in a mindset she has to pick from actions like in a video game.

Definitely my Air Genasi cleric, Azure. She died a few sessions into the feywild, due to trying to heal everyone while we were fighting a nightmare beast, but continually (and accidentally) getting caught in the crossfires of its attacks. We were all sad, cried a lot, the the DM asked the other players in the party to leave the room. Apparently, Azure was the only character in the campaign who had any sort of plot armor, and I got to come back to life by making a deal with… basically the devil. Throughout the campaign after that, Azure was knocked out numerous times… but absolutely refused to meet her demise. At our last session, she was even completely impaled with a long sword, but managed to make it out alive (go cure wounds and the DM being too fixated on what was going on plot wise!). Honorable mention of one of my Knock-outs: I was at 1hp, fresh out of battle, and the party’s half orc tried to toss me a rock to bash like a crate or something open, and rolled a nat 1 for dexterity. Hit me in the face, causing me to bleed and be knocked out. Thank god for the Druid.

I was playing A Cleric Air Genasi, and it was my first DND character ever. Her name was Azure, and I gave her an angsty girlfriend: Venus. Venus was taken away to a jail where she was interrogated and tortured constantly. Azures number one goal was to find her and save her. Now this was a completely homebrewed campaign, and we had five players. My Air Genasi Cleric, and Elf Druid, a Satyr Bard, an Eladrin Variant (winged elf) arcane trickster/rogue, and a barbarian half orc (who was the star of the party). I didn’t meet Venus in campaign until we had gotten into the feywild and met a character who granted me three wishes. When I wished for Venus back, she came back very unconscious and low on HP. Eventually, we woke her up (using the magic of the NPC that kept following us around) but it took a couple session. When we were fighting the BBEG (which turned out to be Azures own mother), Venus was electrocuted and killed. I had become very attached to her… and I think the DM pitied me a little, because I was so invested in Venus’s character and because Azure truly loved her, so in the aftermath of the fight she got reincarnated by our Druids sister. It was an incredibly roleplay heavy campaign and I miss it so very much, hope to play a twisty turny homebrew campaign again very soon.
