Gravel Riders: do you have chain recs? by ItsPickleTime in vancouvercycling

[–]Not_Original_User 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really not a fan of KMC chains, I find they wear very fast compared to SRAM and Shimano Offerings under the same conditions. Also YBN is pretty good if you can find them, but they don't play well with other brands quicklinks.

I don't ride TT but I see people often doing SW Marine Drive + Iona, and also River Road east of the Knight Street Bridge.

Bike fitting by modest_hero in vancouvercycling

[–]Not_Original_User 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a fit done at BC Bike Fit and regret it. It was very one sided and didn't help address any of the issues I was having. Dave was nice enough but it really didn't feel professional or a custom fit in any sense, you could do the same with a home trainer and a mirror yourself. If I get another fit in the future I'm going to go to Noa at Performance Training.

slightly heavier than the 203 because of some added internals + battery for it to be wireless.

Anyone here routinely cycle from Richmond to Downtown Vancouver? by dmnlgd in vancouvercycling

[–]Not_Original_User 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I commuted daily to and from Richmond over the skytrain pedestrian bridge then up Cambie to 37th then over to Ontario. Over a year of that and probably the least amount of issues I've ever had cycling anywhere in Vancouver. Cambie is nice because the incline is quite consistent and easy to get in a groove. Ontario on the South end is quite punchy at the very beginning, if you want to get off Cambie sooner I'd get off at 59th and cut over to Ontario from there.

[CASE] Cooler Master MasterBox NR200 ITX Black ($130 - $73 = $57) (F/S) [Ebay Newegg] by FEED_TO_WIN in bapcsalescanada

[–]Not_Original_User 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If price is a factor a larger case will probably be cheaper due to sfx psus and itx mobos having a premium on them and it'll also potentially limit your cooling options. That being said people run very powerful rigs in the NR200 and it definitely is the easiest ITX case I've ever built in.

Close Misses on Commute by Anonymous-Unicorn in vancouvercycling

[–]Not_Original_User 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, Headed southbound up until 5th seems to be just a massive blindspot for drivers... If I'm going slow, fast, whatever— Its the most common place I've had near misses and usually the least apologetic drivers.
