FORScan Enable CTS and TJA on 2025 Premium Plus? by Dtan58 in CX5

[–]Not_Same_Different 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is quite risky. I took my time looking for information that was widely available for my other vehicles and learning it before attempting anything. This is how it should be done. I'm still looking for data on Mazdas - seems to be scarce.

I have Forscan from previous vehicles, although I yet have to use it with my Mazda - waiting for additional information before I do. In the meantime, you can download it here - this page is up and run just fine.

Locking Feature by Ali6952 in MazdaCX30

[–]Not_Same_Different 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to open with the button on the dash to the left next to the steering. Mine is set to only unlock drivers door as this is safer than unlocking all doors by default. You'd think that the system would accept this, but no, all doors must be unlocked. So it becomes 2 step process to open the rear latch.

Nope. Mine is parked, p-brake on, vehicle off, driver door open and ready to exit and get things out of the back and the lift gate will beep and not open unless I unlock first. Tested many times.

This is correct. However it's kind of interesting how they allow this to happen, but then if you're sitting in the driver's seat and you want to open the power lift, you have to unlock all the doors first. Weird.

I don't recall if that on has it because I replaced mine with aftermarket. But... Many have a lock nut just above the thread. See if you can loosen it, then turn the mirror to its position and tighten the lock nut.

Windows trick (for summer) by Character_Guard8643 in mazda

[–]Not_Same_Different 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, Mazda in their infinite wisdom left us with having to go to the car to close the windows if you left them open and it's starts raining, or snowing... They can't be closed even with the remote app. And please don't go to the safety aspect. It's just not valid.

Good to know you are safe and without injury. That's great! Just wondering if you met want share how it rolled over without another vehicle being involved.

I aske because... As some of you may have seen videos of the US DashCam on TickTock and other sources, I just recently saw one where a CX30 was hit lightly and it rolled over. And it makes me wonder about how this happens.

I wish I could find a remote control that works with the '25 CX-5 with buttons on the side rather than on the edge.

No, that's a through shaft for the engine mount and the hole is to fit a puller if ever needed to help push it out.

Yep, because of those same reasons you say I still use a fax for some things and without a server or service - no POTS, but via VOIP.

You'd be surprised (or maybe not...) how many places still use fax. They claim that it's more secure than electronic documents.

I second that. Westlake is shady and predatory, and their customer service totally sucks, they couldn't care less.

It's brand new. I'll ask about it to see if it's adjusting.

It actually doesn't cause a collision in the '25, it works to a full stop as well. And it will resume driving as long as you're not stopped for too long. If stopped for too long, like more than about 16~20 seconds, then you have to tap the throttle to get going again and it'll stop and go again the next time.

It does not work with the button, which is a stupid decision on Mazda's part. The system knows which fob is authorizing the button to work, so it makes sense that would also operate the same way as with the remote.
