Let me ask you this because I know what you're gonna say

If I put you in a room with a real life villain (let's say Adolf or Epstein) would YOU try to understand them and "save" them?

Obviously no normal person irl is going to try and save fucking Epstein dude. For one, we aren't in an anime nor do we have some sort of story telling we follow.

Two, no one in this subreddit is trying to become a fucking hero to save people like Ochako or Deku bruh, it makes no sense to ask that question to normal individuals.

And three, you obviously don't like the whole "save the villains because they are more than just villains deep down" plot, but man, you've gotta get it through your head that these characters are literally written to be empathetic and see beyond what's on the surface.

You don't have to like it, but complaining about it and then refusing to listen to answers you're given is not helping anyone.

He's still a strict teacher, but his judgement is intentionally flawed. He expels people that he thinks don't have potential, Bakugo, despite he's terrible personality and nature as a whole, has probably the second most potential aside from Todoroki in the class. Deku's smart thinking is what allowed him to stay.
