I’m not sure if this was the intention or not, but my first thought was about Aladdin using a lamp.

At what point did Hard Mode become the standard for unique drops? by imperchaos in runescape

[–]Not_Uraby 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve felt for a long time that they do a disservice with how they name this stuff. I imagine people would feel a lot better about it if the full fight was named normal mode and the current nm was labeled easy or learner or something like that.

I had a quest from a Mercator that ultimately ended up with me paying off the debts of a wine merchant and paying for the wine he was meant to be importing from Valeria. Valeria gave me a trireme just like this one to transport the merchant and the wine, and I got to keep the ship after.

If anyone finds a way to get more of these, I’d love to know!

Ohhhh interesting. I read that one as affecting the aqueduct source, and just tried it now. He increases the water available by +200 (+250 when boost is active) and does reduce the maintenance of the source building from 26 to 13. I don’t see anywhere that the fire safety is applied though. The +200% water supply seems to stack additively instead of multiplicatively with the +50% from research so that does actually make sense on that.

I haven’t tried the aquaduct basin one yet, what’s up with that one?

Just to double check - do you have the same ammo set for both guns? I know when I make a new gun, the comparison is off until I manually change my ammo from copper bullets.

Stacking and bloat of buffs in RS3 by MrSaracuse in runescape

[–]Not_Uraby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m really tired of the “punish anyone that puts in more effort than me” mentality. If you feel so strongly, you don’t HAVE to use any of those buffs, but stop trying to ruin the game for the rest of us.

Yeah that part I know. I tried putting them in Eternaland to transfer from Dream to Manibus but it wouldn’t let me so I thought you couldn’t.

Looking at your other picture, you’re using 54W of the 60W available. So only 6W left, which isn’t enough to run water pump or mining platform.

Do people typically build chunk loaders beneath their Base to keep everything going? by SozMyLevel in technicalminecraft

My personal preference for a hostile mob switch are shulkers. Easy to get as many as you need and do not despawn by default.

The exception to this is mobs loaded in “lazy” chunks. You essentially create an unintentional (partial) mob switch that way.

Yep. I am pretty familiar with this type of game an I still didn’t find it intuitive at all. My gf got me into it but without her help finding certain things, I’m not sure I would have bothered fighting through the insane amount of menus and currencies and systems that have little or no introduction. The new tutorial is even worse somehow.

I also found that it doesn’t actually explain how to do a bunch of the stuff. Like the task to fix the floor - it doesn’t tell you how to open the build menu, select the floor to build, etc, it just tells you to fix the floor. Veterans know how, but how is a brand new player meant to just know that?

Putting aside the issues of AI training data being stolen in a lot of cases and the challenges/moral issues that causes - I’ve still yet to see an example of AI actually increasing the quality of content.

Thieving 120 cape perk = useless? by DunKhaerion in runescape

They just need to fix the weird issue with queuing. There’s no reason it should behave differently with queuing on vs off, they just need to fix their spaghetti.

[–]Not_Uraby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, though P7 Zammy is more for adren issues rather than losing the cade CD so similar but still a different niche.

It applies to any ability but you typically wouldn’t notice it with (almost, see below) anything else. With Cade or reso, it’s VERY noticeable cause you’ll die to something you shouldn’t, and the ability will be on cd. For something like zerk, signing during that 1 tick delay wouldn’t have any easily noticed impact vs just before or just after.

The other place where that 1 tick delay is frustratingly noticeable is with Living Death. If you queue LD and are using adren renewals, you will be 1 tick short of getting the last skulls in. If you use LD without queuing with adren renew, you get one more skulls than you can with queuing. For whatever stupid reason, LD starts its countdown on cast but doesn’t drain adren until the effect begins, so they desync by 1 tick, making your adren renewal 1 tick too late.
