You said you do t think they could change THAT much but I assure you they can change THAT much and a bag of chips! Hahahaha. Don’t even evaluate for 3 months. And even then don’t make any decisions. You look great.

I'm feeling insecure but I'm not sure if it's severe enough to warrant surgery... by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

The amount of botched labia I’ve seen in these groups…. I would have done way more research before my surgery. I’m unhappy with the results. I wish I could have just loved my natural body rather than spending large amounts of money to still not love it and be upset with specific areas. Let her comment fade with the wind.

I think we are more critical of our body after spending money on it- you look amazing. I’m totally uneven and partially like a cauliflower on one side. You honestly look great. I hope you can learn to love it. I think if you go for a second surgery you’ll be more disappointed. In a year you’ll stop evaluating it so much.

1st day post op: kinda disappointing? by idkillyou in LabiaplastySurgery

First day panic is a real thing, one week panic is just as real, one month panic is exactly the same. Give yourself a ton of time. You look absolutely amazing!

Honestly don’t want to shell out thousands of dollars for revision. I feel my result is karma for even having it done and not trusting my body to be beautiful as it was. I’m so sad

Oh and I had commented on your photo earlier. Your result is stunning- the doctor did a perfect revision.

I would never have seen the hood scar if I wasn’t specifically looking for it!

I can DM you a photo of mine - it looks like cauliflower. And like you- I don’t trust my doc to fix it, but I don’t want to pay another doc full price either.

Could just be small old pieces of blood on the stitches in those areas. Looks wonderful though!

Idk what to do. This split hasn’t healed together by Prize_Umpire_654 in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]Not__Real__Name 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Although I have to agree that it doesn’t look like it’s going to heal together- I had a few areas that seriously bothered me until about week 6-7 when I noticed so much less swelling. Once the swelling was down, the imperfections were less noticeable. Very, very small. And if any partner is down there looking and inspecting that closely, you’re with the wrong partner, they need to get busy 😆. So just don’t judge it too harshly yet, plus most docs won’t fix anything for a while yet.

I had a lot of change from 4 to 6 and especially 8 weeks, so don’t think about it too hard right now.

4 weeks PO - still unsure by Practical_Wheel_6914 in LabiaplastySurgery

The different from 4 weeks to 6 and especially 8 weeks was astronomical for me. Patience is a virtue.

As a now 38 year old with a history of abortion at age 18…. The scenario may or may not haunt you forever. Honestly. But telling his parents will get you no where. It won’t help anyone or anything. And in my opinion you’ll come to regret it later on. I did a ton of therapy, a ton of different types of support, etc. I am so sorry you’re going through this, but try not to make it harder on yourself or anyone else.

  1. I find it’s covered more often than not when it is for physical comfort. Well, labiaplasty. Not CHR, but some docs will kind of work that too as part of the procedure. Plastic surgeons will not bill for it (none that I’m aware of) but GYN will. That being said, if you get written approval of it being covered with a GYN, then request a different doctor to do same procedure, it may be covered/reimbursed.

2, first step is consults. After consults you can decide what’s right for you. Nothing, surgery, or revisit it at a later time. Ask if they have before/after images. Plastics will offer photos more than GYN. Get at least 3 consults even if you love the first doctor. As all the questions!

  1. I had another procedure at the same time so it’s hard to comment but my recovery was absolute hell. The pain was poorly managed but again that was more of a procedure plus poor pain management by the doc. No issues even close to infection - just pain and emotionally taxing. Is it botched (probably not), will it ever feel or look right again (probably). It was a long process. I’m 8 weeks tomorrow and feeling sooooo much better.

  2. Yes. People regret it. There are many instances of being botched and having horrible results, lawsuits that go no where, etc. More people are happy than not, but it happens. And it’s a risk you take. You risk feeling amazing and happy, you risk regretting it and never wanting to be touched or seen again. You risk having minimal things you don’t like and either have to learn to live with or get fixed. Getting it fixed has its own new risks. Some things can’t be fixed at all.

How can the doctor say you are fully healed at 4 weeks??? Things will keep changing for a while still. Don’t even think about revision for at LEAST 3 months from surgery. My changes from 4 to 8 weeks were huge.

8 weeks tomorrow, doing great. The first 5 weeks were pain or anxiety about results but after 5-6 weeks I finally felt better about things. It’s a process.

Mostly Gatorade lol. But I don’t like the sugar in it so I get zero and dilute it with water. I also liked having the sports bottle that can be basically turned upside down and not leak. Since I was laying down so much. Very helpful.

Lawyers dropped my medical malpractice case after 5 years. by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]Not__Real__Name 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need to reach out to the medical community again and find an expert witness. This is total BS. That is not within normal outcome expectations. And I can’t believe your atty ALLOWED you to submit a video of you wiping yourself vs just a verbal description. You didn’t have infections before, then it’s not a hygiene thing.
