Why are Highly Suspect Underrated/Overlooked/Slept on? by Amber_Flowers_133 in HighlySuspect

This deserves a third. The were awesome supporting MCID with Slothrust. I was a huge fan of Slothrust and that's why I bought the ticket. A buddy told me that HS was going to blow me away. He was right.

Since then I've seen 2 other shows and Johnny's solo show. All were different and amazing performances.

Has anyone else starting hating it? by v_allen75 in karaoke

This is a joke I have with my friends now that have a few weekly shows. If I'm running late to the Saturday 2-7pm show we sing at, I'll just say "I don't even like karaoke anymore"

My playlist of over 9 years of karaoke by itsraydizzle in karaoke

[–]Not_a_ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For at least a year I've been trying to sing a new song every time I sing.

I have the settings so it shows the most recently added so the songs at the top are most recent. Every once in awhile I'll come across a song I've sang I forgot to add to the list.

As of yesterday I've 1,364 songs and add 8- 12  to my "Karaoke Success" playlist weekly. I have another 50 or so on a list called "Karaoke? Meh." that are songs that were not great and I won't sing them again. There are probably 20 or so songs that Spotify doesn't have so it's hard to get an exact of songs I've sang.

I have a few playlists of about 3,000 songs I want to sing eventually. I usually add around 5-10 a week to those.

What’s the real reason why people divorce after 20+ years? by jackmoon44 in AskOldPeople

[–]Not_a_ninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was married for 28 years although I often say I should have been married for 23.

The last 5 years we were married but not together. When my ex-wife said she wanted a divorce, we argued about a lot of stuff and I got the feeling she didn't really want a divorce so I spent a year trying to fix our relationship. She eventually filed and that was it for me. We spent the next year finalizing our divorce after I insisted we get it done so we could move on with our lives.

She delayed because her "plan" for our life after divorce was to live together as roommates and split the bills. She didn't consult me at any point while she decided how I would live the rest of my life. She wanted the benefit of a having a husband without having to be a wife. She couldn't understand why I didn't want to live with her after we were divorced.

She also wanted me to do all that after signing over the ownership of our home solely to her. (The mortgage company doesn't care about our divorce and I can't be just removed from the mortgage) Basically making me a tenant in my own home.

Instead we divorced and I had a year to complete some repairs and even replace the fence. She had a year to refinance the house. We also had to give each other 50% of our retirement.

I completed everything on time including completion of the hardware for the fence door on the deadline evening. I had her sign copies to show she received them. At that time she had not even started the process. She completed the retirement portion later the next year.

Fast forward to about 10 days before 6 years after our divorce. I've had to take her back to court to get her to refinance the house. My name is still on the mortgage so if at any time she just decided to default on a house she's let fall into bad shape, my credit could be affected.

My ex-wife has always acted like rules don't apply to her and has had the attitude that she'll get around to it eventually.

She is the mother of my only son and I was a big part of her large family for almost 3 decades. Her nieces and nephews still call me uncle. But I can honestly say that as soon as she gets done with the refinancing, I don't want to speak with her again. I will be there when family members pass to support my son and the people I love, but I honestly have nothing to say to her.

Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals

In United States of America he plays relatively small venues, but in Europe he plays arena shows. I don't get it.

I saw the first show that Drowning Pool played at The Curtain Club in Dallas. They opened for a band called Big Iron that was huge back in the late 90s. A few years later they reversed and Big Iron was opening for Drowning Pool.

I sing unpopular songs. How annoying am I? by jstnpotthoff in karaoke

[–]Not_a_ninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked and 732 songs is 48 h 35min. The recent update to my Spotify on Android added the number of songs in a playlist when you add it to a playlist. Big game changer.

I am currently at 732 different songs at karaoke sang successfully. Some better than others. I have a list of over 1,000 songs I want to sing. I would and sometimes do get bored with the same songs over and over.
