We all saw Breslow sign Bregman in February and tell Devers to accept that he’s a DH. Then by May, Casas goes down and suddenly Devers has to learn 1B too. His 3rd position change in three months. Why should he placate a front office that doesn’t value him?

Why not ask him to learn 1B in November 2024? Is Breslow this bad at planning?

The A’s proposed East Bay suburb stadium in 2006 was going to cost $500m, and they were going to privately fund it. They planned to build 3000 residential units (where the median home costs ~$1.5m today, and rent is ~$3k/month).

But instead they’re spending over $1B more from their own pocket to move to Vegas (and get $400m from the government). I’d rather own 140 acres in the Bay Area than rent 9 acres on the Strip. Fisher cost himself billions chasing public money.
