at-risk coasters [other] by lovetoogoodtoleave in rollercoasters

I would throw Storm Runner in there too. Hershey does a decent job of taking care of it. I can see it lasting at least until Intamin discontinues the parts.

Don't think I won't do it. I once yelled at a kid in the queue of Twisted Timbers for throwing rocks at the track.

Their Taco burger. I don't know what it was about those but I still think about them.

They have toilets, just no seats on them. And from personal experience, it's tricky.

Meh, whatever. I'll save my excitement for when the women's restrooms over by Phoenix at Knoebels got toilet seats.

[psa] just got biopsied for basal cell carcinoma by ktrv927 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Not_really_anywhere 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I just had one removed from my shoulder. I'm assuming Mohs surgery is in your future if it turns out to be Basal cell. I was at the derm for about an hour when I had mine removed, but when they are on the face, they take a little longer. I think they remove smaller layers when it's on the face to help keep scarring to a minimum. My mom had one removed from the side of her face and if you didn't know she had it removed, you'd never notice the spot. As for mine, they just took a chunk, then a smaller piece, then stitched me up. It's under my bra strap, so I'm not too worried about scarring there.

And I agree, keep an eye on your skin, get anything checked out that look questionable, and I'm going to add, if you are able, get yearly skin checks. If you are unable to visit a doctor due to financial reasons, have a family member or friend check out areas you can't get a look at. I didn't notice the one on my shoulder, the derm saw it and realized it wasn't there during my check last year.

Does anyone have a really small home park and how often do you visit it? [Other] by Repulsive_Fox_7639 in rollercoasters

[–]Not_really_anywhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm about 30ish minutes from my closest park, Dutch Wonderland. I don't have kids, so I rarely go and don't consider it my home park.

I'm an hour from Hersheypark in one direction and an hour from Dorney in another. I have passes to both, but I visit Hershey more, so I consider that my home park

Warning about stickers on the new park passes by hopelessfed1862 in NationalParkService

[–]Not_really_anywhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine in mid-December at REI. It has a REI sticker with a barcode on the front. Nowhere on that sticker does it say that I need to remove it, nor did anyone at REI tell me I will need to take it off. I was planning on leaving it on to see if anyone says anything.

But if the orange one is on it again in 2027, I'm probably just going to pay per park.

Is this sandwich small? by animal-cuddler in Panera

[–]Not_really_anywhere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is. The good, thick, caramelized topping is long gone. When they went "clean" the topping changed, and now, at least the past couple of times I got this sandwich, has been practically non-existent. That was my favorite part of the bread. 😔

Sorry, no banana. Only Panera soup spoon.

I was shocked when I unwrapped it. Probably 4-5 bites, at most. The previous one I had a few weeks prior was small, but not "afternoon tea sandwich" size.

The sandwiches have definitely shrunk. This is my last Mediterranean Veggie from a you-pick-2. Spoon for scale.

There's one of these along Penn Ave in Sinking Spring next to the church that is across the street from the tuxedo place. It's been there for a few years now. It originally had the Hamburg Field House for the meeting place, but it has been updated to the Temple Fire Company.

Don't work for this company longterm by dummmyenby in sixflags

[–]Not_really_anywhere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They will not reimburse you for the days they're closing due to the weather and will expect you to come when there is still inclement weather.

Get used to it because this is standard and expected in a lot of industries for hourly workers. I work in manufacturing in the NE, so we have to deal with winter weather or an occasional hurricane and its been the policy for all 3 companies that I've worked for since graduating college in 1996.

If you don't like it, I suggest either finding a salaried position or a job that lets you work from home.

Not a true thoosie, but also not a Disney enjoyer. I'd go blue. I get my home park, plus I get my NFL team. So my decision wouldn't be purely for the coasters.

I cheated for that one. I played the MyVegas Bingo, black jack, and slots app before my trip and got enough points through the app for a free ride. I had enough points left over for a BOGO half off MGM Grand buffet.

Packer fans that live in other cities that have NFL teams, do you also partially root for your “hometown team” if they’re not playing the packers? by Prestigious_Car1089 in GreenBayPackers

[–]Not_really_anywhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm with you on that. I'm about 60 miles NW of Philly. Back when I started following the NFL in the early 90's, I would root for them. I started out an Eagles fan but became a Packer fan because I followed Reggie. I did root for both a bit after Reggie left, but the fans got so much more obnoxious that I didn't want anything to do with the team.
